Dr. Green is a VERY challenging professor. If you are looking to push yourself, take his class. He is an incredibly intelligent professor, but I did not entirely enjoy it. I think he definitely pushed me into looking at different ways of living and thinking, but he was not clear in his syllabus about what the course is and what he expected of us.

Dr. Green's class was a STRUGGLE for me. The book that is used is literally the hardest book to read, and you HAVE to use it for the four 7 page essays that he requires. He doesn't write anything down or give any handouts, and his lectures are so pretentious and boring. He's not a tough grader. But, this was the hardest intro class I ever took

I would NOT recommend taking his Intro to World Religions class. It is incredibly difficult and very boring. Dr. Green is very pretentious and expects all his students to have way more information than the book provides. I wish I would have dropped this class long ago.

Dr. Green is amazing. His class is extremely challenging, but rewarding. He is very knowledgable on the subjects and expects students to put in work for an A. Be ready to read, write, and take notes. If you don't attend class, you will not do well. If you're confused, ASK him. He truly cares about his students and is a great teacher.

Had him years ago at UNC-Asheville. Humanities was a shaky subject for me, a freshman Comp Sci major, plus I was bad at papers. He made me care about the material, and helped me find my voice. He'll challenge you, but also inspire you to meet the challenge. Favorite professor. Changed my life.

Do NOT take this course! He is NOT suited to be teaching an INTRO course. I am normally a pretty decent student that makes good grades but this class is impossible. You are expected to have background knowledge on every topic which in my opinion is ridiculous for an intro course. If you feel the need to drop then drop ASAP! Don't wait like I did!

Are you a little slow? Can't understand big words? Probably don't take him. But if you're a normal functioning human who is good at auditory learning (like another poster mentioned) you'll be absolutely fine. For reference: I'm a high school drop out and I got an A in this class (intro to religious studies). Don't listen to the other folk.

Although his teaching style is not the easiest to follow, I enjoyed Professor Green's class. If you're looking for an easy A, this probably isn't the best choice for you. However, if you're looking to take a class in which you actually have to push yourself to retain and apply the material, I definitely recommend this class with this professor.

He's just so boring. I'm still attending this class, and I want to drop. He's so monotone. HE never teaches, he just talks and talks. He has put everyone to sleep many times already.

The class itself was hard to make myself go to. If you read the material, the tests are relatively easy (There are only two grades all semester, the midterm, and the final.) but the class, and his teaching style are SO BORING.

so boring! he's a nice guy but I never understood anything he said. he talks as if he's a harvard professor and it goes over everyones head. his test are very hard. I was super excited about taking this class because I love learning about religion. this class really disappointed me though. he's very knowledgable.. just not a very good teacher.

Dr. Green is a truly amazing professor. He utilizes highly academic language but if you pay attention you should both understand what he is saying as well as learn a little language yourself. You come out of his class feeling as though you are more intelligent. He has a mastery over his subject and I highly recommend him(Harvard educated I believe)

I love this subject but Dr. Green should not teach it. The opposite of stuimulating, he uses incomprehensible language and refers to all kinds of things that no one knows about. Please do not have him substitute, either, for Dr. k. !! Just cancel the class unstead!!

Dr. Green is an interesting character. He always finds a way to mention "the gay man's role" in just about every religion he discusses. He likes to actually climb onto the table in front of class and sprawl out like a sea animal-think little mermaid. all in all, it was pretty entertaining. He certainly picks favorites, but that helps when its final

when I took the class which was intro to religious studies he only gave two number grades all semester long! Which were the midterm and the final, it sucked! I e-mailed him numerous times outside of class and went by his office during office hours asking for help and I never was e-mailed back or helped with work. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLASS!

I took his Intro to Religions course last fall -- the material was boring, but I loved our after-class discussions to death (they pretty much *make* the class). He's a really good guy, and I have a lot more respect for him than I figured I would. I excelled on his tests and assignments -- they're not throwaways, but they are straightforward.

He is a nice enough teacher, but talks way over most people's heads. It is an intro level course but the workload is that of a grad course....
