Boze is the man. I found his class to be enjoyable. His test are very similar to the worksheets he hands out. He drills the worksheets into your head, this really help cement the material in to me. I would recommend this anyone, not just Accounting majors.

Dr. Boze is a smart guy, but he can't teach at all. I didn't learn anything in his class--his spreadsheets are pointless and his tests are taken from Gleim CPA study books. This class is a complete waste of time.

The best thing you can learn from this class is to do things yourself. Boze is not very clear about the spreadsheets, and often finds new things to nit pick randomly. The exams are from the CPA exam book. If you plan to understand the problems, buy the optional book! You may get frustrated with him, but that's life.

I highly recommend looking into the online course offered through UAS. Boze does not clearly identify his objectives or expectations. Instead of beig helpful he is rude and his comments are not productive. He just expects you to spit out the tables but doesn't seem to care if you understand the 'why' of the work. It's a shame he is the only prof teaching 342@UAA.

This guy is a joke! Doesn't teach you anything. We do stupid spreadsheets every week. I don't even know what they mean. I just do them and turn it in. Worst of all, the "QUIZ" are from a CMA test book. I don't care about the stupid CMA test. I don't want to be a CMA or CPA when I grown up! Just teach me process accounting PLEASE! What a waste of $

I'm only in my third week of this semester and I am already dissapointed with this "professor". He does not teach! All u do is memorize the CPA book HE helped put together and makes you do spreadsheets claiming that we should have learned everything we needed in 202 when in fact we haven't. Not clear on his expectations of students and contridicts himself. Try to take with another professor at all costs if u don't want to waste your money!

Worst professor I've ever had. I couldn't believe the way he treated students if they asked a question he thought was ridiculous. I literally left crying on the last day of class after asking him for help. His lectures consisted of his own personal anecdotes. I did not learn a thing from this class.

TERRIBLE isntructor, EASY class. possibly the most useless class i have ever taken. why is it that people who are very knowledgeable in a particular subject think that they can inherently teach it? worst acct instructor at uaa, too bad he is the only cost teacher

For a grad-level class it was a piece of cake. Test was open-book, essay. Make sure you don't write outside the margins--he'll take points off! Class discussions were interesting. We read several Harvard cases and a couple of books and my primary complaint is that all readings were quite dated.

Straight forward class. One section a week. One day lecture, one day example. Good test reviews. Willing to give opportunity for bonus points if class bombs section, owns up to any teaching shortcomings. Moves very quick, talks in accounting lingo, but became clear through semester. No homework, but independent study and practice expected.

His class is NOT hard. After reading these I was terrified. His class and teaching methods are EASY. He's just kinda kooky and wierd. If you can put up with that you'll be FINE! His methods are simple and you can teach yourself. As long as i studied the night before the test i would get an A. So...take it if you have patience with kinda crazy teach

Transferred in from another college, had been quite a few years since I took accounting, had no problems, told you what would be expected of you on a test, he does go off and talk about other things but enjoyed his class. Study what he tells you to study in the CMA books, it is helpful.

I liked him. He was not a Nut, he just had some great quirks. I got an A, and had several intelligent conversations with him. He gets it, and wants you to get it. If you do poorly in 201 or 202 you are just NOT DOING YOUR HOMEWORK. 100% is attainable in his class. The only hard part was the multiple choice for me. He's really good! Cheers!!
