Comment:
I wasn't as fond of him as others are. His explanations are rather poor and founded in dogmatic, overly-traditional approaches. Assigned very difficult problems, and didn't really cover _physics_ questions. Offered much help during office hours, but again, not good at explaining foundational concepts. Disappointed my enthusiasm for the subject.

Dr. Krane is a great professor. He's extremely smart and knowledgeable, but also able to explain concepts in an understandable and interesting way. I may be biased because our class was an honors college colloquia, so it was structured in a discussion format, and we didn't have any tests.

VERY accommodating; responds to emails very quickly, meets you for office hours and encourages asking simple questions. His tests are simple if you did/understood the homework. There were no midterms. The final, like tests, is open notes but brutal if you haven't studied heavily. Very good at explaining complicated physics with diagrams/examples.

Dr. Krane is an excellent physics professor. I especially enjoyed the structure of the honors class, nice curve, and very clear and unconvoluted explanation of all material. Very approachable and friendly. It was refreshing having a very smart professor who didn't make the class harder than need be. Dr. Krane made me enjoy physics again.

Daily quizzes are just something to piss you off everyday. Daily homework is nice because it keeps you from waiting until the weekend to do everything. Tests are reasonable, class is a lot of work.

Excellent teacher, explains material very well and thoroughly. Due to the introductory nature of the course, he breezes over a lot of topics, but manages to tie things together well. Work hard on the HW and lab and a good grade is not difficult.

excellent modern physics teacher. VERY smart. Difficult class, lots of HW but if you pay attention and read his book, A = no problem.

Krane's lectures are very clear. He explains difficult material very well. He's a great teacher teaching a hard course. I wouldn't want anyone else teaching it.

One of the best technical profs I've ever had. Very clear, very involved in students education. If you have the opportunity, take a class from this prof.

Best physics prof I've ever had. My advice to anyone looking for the good teachers. Register for a class with Krane. He explains material clearly. He's a nice guy and obviously very bright.

He is a higher division professor, and there is a bias he has towards physics majors, but he is still great. He literately wrote the book for my class, meaning the book was perfectly integrated.

probably the best 20x professor, dr. krane gives very clear, step-wise lectures (though sometimes tedious and droning). he's friendly and very helpful during office hours. do the homework and ask for help when you can't & you should have no problems.

Krane's lectures were pretty clear, but he assigned long and difficult homework, and gave a very difficult final - however, he did curve the final a lot.

Ph 436 - Central Forces Dr. Krane is obviously a very smart man and is a bit hard to understand sometimes. I got a lot of his lectures and found him quite clear. The only qualm I had with his class was due to the final. He said he would post last
