I have never been more frustrated with an assigner in my whole life. I call him that because calling him a teacher would be an insult to other teachers. I even passed the class with a decent grade. Spokane falls should drop this guy from their staff.

This was a horrible experience. He changed the curricular three times on us during the quarter, had us ill prepared for submitting our 101 readiness papers, it has been two weeks since the last day and I STILL cannot reach him about my final grade. Avoid taking this class at all costs!

This was one of the most frustrating professors I have had!! He never returned work back on time never posted online forums on time and was terrible at responding to the class. He often talked in circles and never gave a clear answer!!! He is an awful professor and I suggest finding someone else to take this from!

Comment:

Kurrus is a very frustrating teacher. If you are unfortunate to have him, don't bother emailing him with any questions; he won't respond! He is frequently late, takes forever to hand back paper and what not, and also losses a lot of homework!! Had this happen once and another student twice! Only take him if you have no other choice...

He taught a thought-provoking class. The papers were interesting and one of them related to current events, the state elections. I wish he would have let us write about gay marriage or marijuana legalization but instead we had to write about boring initiatives. But the research was interesting and encouraged me to vote more often. Great teacher.

Kurrus is EXTREMELY slow at everything. You'll be lucky to get graded work back in under a month, if at all. Do not take him if you need your final grade posted in a timely manner, such as if you're about to transfer to another school. I had to take it up with the school, and even they had no idea how to contact him. He'd been ignoring them, too.

Had a difficult time navigating the class at first. Turned in report 1 day late and gave me 20%. I had contacted him numerous times for direction and help and never received a response. For our final report he made us wait to submit it until he gave us report 2 back. He returned it the day before before the final report was due. Horrible instructor

I have to agree with other posts. This class moves very fast and it's not that you can't keep up, but rather that the instructor is hard to reach, expectations aren't clarified, and lots of things aren't clear. The lessons do overlap and advancing to the second lesson when you don't know what or how you did on the first is frustrating!

Steer clear of taking an online class with this "teacher." Moves very fast, overlaps assignments causing confusion, and instruction emails are even more confusing and often contain grammar errors. This isn't reassuring when taking an ENGLISH class. Not very legitimate reviews on final papers.

This class is a lot more interesting than I expected! I liked the material and assignments, even though it was a lot of reading and writing. The only downside was never being able to see my grades! He would keep promising to grade things, but never would! I'm still waiting for week one grades and am half-way through the course.

Incredibly frustrating. Chapter and page assignments didn't match textbooks (yes, they were correct books) Assignment due dates weren't updated. Even though this was an on-line class, Mr Kurrus didn't seem to have much "presence." Questions sometimes went unanswered for several days. Overall impression is that he is a lackadaisical instructor.

Kurrus is a completely incompetent teacher. In his online english class, he would assign odd papers with badly written directions. He was also very slow to respond to emails, and would give lower scores to people who didn't always agree with him.

I had such a great time in this class. Kris is very helpful and always will to go the extra mile to make sure you pass. Just like any class attendance and maturity is nessecary, don't take him if your still stuck in high school.

This is a class I had taken twice befor and failed protfolio at the end. Mr Kurrus made sure I had the extra instruction I needed and he really helped me to get help from the writing lab also. I passed with a good grade! TAKE HIM!!
