I took Dr. Beloofs English 1A class years ago, but he still stands out to me as the best professor Ive ever had. He laid out his expectations clearly at the beginning of the semester and graded objectively based on his rubric. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to seriously improve their grammar!

first, i put down eng1a which was my first class with him but i took every class he taught because he may be tough but you earn your grade. when you walk out of his class you will have learned what you came to learn. dry sense of humor but approachable for help. i would recommend dr. beloof highly. good luck!

This guy is not helpful at all. He doesn't care at all about students improving through the course. He is also a grammar Nazi. He teaches the same lessons sometimes due to lack of memory. In a 14 student class he knew none of our names.

I got a B in the class, should have gotten an A. He grades just on grammar. In class he mostly tells stories about himself, but at the end of the year I think I'm a better writer, grammatically. If you show up to every class and proof read your papers like a champ you'll do fine.

I took English English 101, Speech, English 1A and Enlish 1B with Dr Beloof between 1999 and 2002. In my personal opinion, he is a great teacher. He has his vies, which can be very hurtful at times. He has a system that once you learn, you can use to get a very good grade. This class is not for the lazy or mentally weak. I got mostly A's.

I took this course in another state and got an "A". Course wouldn't transfer so I had to take it. If you write all your assignments like a 2nd grader, "The bowl is red." you will pass. Write like an adult and you will fail. Make sure to turn in all assignments. I failed the term paper and still got a "C".

Can be helpful. Personally, I did not enjoy his class. He grades very strictly and unfair. I had to drop the class, as I was failing. I was doing pretty good until the last 3 weeks. He does do a lot of talking. Gives a lot of helpful handouts. I have become a better writer but I would never take his class again. I do not like his grading policies.

This teacher totally sucks to a point. He continues to talk about the war all the time. He doesn't explain anything very well. He is extremely annoying at times. I don't understand what he talks about HALF THE TIME. He needs to find a different way of teaching. I used to get A's in English, with his class...I feel like I'm failing.
