COMM 105 (comm theory) from Dr. Nordstrom in 1995. 18 years later, the tools on criticism & theory I learned I still use every single day (I'm a CIO now). The nuance of what he's teaching is lost on 20-year-olds, it is better served for high-end executive leadership training, hence the sarcasm... he belongs at a better school.

Kurt was, by far, the worst professor I've ever had. The 3 tests were very hard and yes, there were trick questions therein. I also strongly disliked his personality and found him to be boring and pompous.

this teacher is amazing he is interesting, and the first teacher I've had in a long time who I wanted to listen to. it is obvious he knows what he is talking about and really helps you gain a new perspective on things. Would frequently not show up without notice and then if you miss a class or show up 30 sec late he reprimands you and thinks its hilarious. Asks for opinions and comments only to provide fodder for his rude and insensitive jokes. Is blatanly rude to any and all male students. His lectures are all self serving and cater to his strange beliefs.

Hey Kurt, stop asking for students to rate you as a "hot" professor. You're teaching sucks and stop color coordinating your ties. It doesn't help mask the disaster that is your genetic make-up. Your sense of humor is disgusting, you aren't "hot" (on any level), and you shouldn't be allowed to teach in the university. You're a disgrace to all LGBTs.

Kurt is a horrible prof. Doesn't care about the quality of the class or the material. If you ask for help he tells you to "try harder". Incompetent, ill-informed, ignorant, pompous, terrible excuse for a professor. CSUC way to tenure the profs that don't have a clue as to what they're teaching. DON'T TAKE HIS CLASSES!

This guy is the epitome of HORRIBLE PROF. i cant even tell you how many people have failed the first two exams even after he added points... after a certain point, you cant blame the students kurt. its gotta be the teaching. I suggest you work on it... DONT TAKE THIS CLASS. He is rude, and doesnt know what he's talking about half the time.

Fails to grade and return tests promptly--if at all. Missed multiple days during the semester, and has not updated his Web material in years. Usually stands in front of the class--when he actually lectures--and reads off a piece of paper. Skip this class if you possibly can.

He is very rude. We never got our first test back before we took the second one, and the tests are the only grades in the class so we were all in the dark about our grades. He doesn't require attendance but he shows a lot of videos, so if you don't go you'll probably miss one. The topic itself is interesting, but he's just an annoying teacher.

Given that I have a background in women's studies, I have NO IDEA what we were supposed to have gotten from this class. Speaks poorly of women and homosexual people regularly, hates on the theatre dept. Tests are literally nonsensical and mostly opinion based true/false. Tenured professor with no incentive or personal commitment to quality teaching

"Im not saying its wrong or right, it just is." People need to lighten up. He's not as bad as people say. He's just got a sense of humor that some people cant take. Kurt is a horrible teacher! He is so rude to all of the students especially myself. He will ask for your opinion but have a come back right away like he wasn't even listening or cared for that matter. He bases this class of tests but will refuse to give us a study guide cuz "were too old". But his tests will be short answer. HIGHLY DON'T RECOMMEND
