I took Spanish 101, 102 and 201 with Professor Cordova. She is a very nice teacher and repeats alot of material which is good for review. There is alot of homework online which I didnt like. It was hard to keep up with. Be sure to study and practice. Participation in class helps.

Basically teach yourself . She likes to call people out when you look at your phone or even talking to a classmate about the class work. Shell repeat herself and ask you the same question multiple times.

I took Spanish back in high school. This professor does not know what shes doing. Everyone in the class complains that she cant teach. And its true. She just talks then expects you to pick up everything immediately. This is Spanish 101 and she never taught us vocabulary. WORST TEACHER to teach but shes nice

If you can go with the flow, she's a wonderful professor. She really took time to get to know her students and really cared about our success. Her deadlines were a little up in the air but if you go to class, pay attention, and understand that the "busy homework" is necessary to learn you'll do great. She was also very straight forward about tests.

I really didn't like her teaching at all. She was confusing, never knew the right names, and graded hard without feedback. She said she was from Spain (hence the accent), but she is actually from Mexico. If you have a choice, avoid her.

Very nice and intelligent professor but does not make assignments clear in class. Gives you an ENORMOUS amount of homework online from which you learn nothing from, it is just hours of busy work. She will never give you full credit on anything, always taking a point or two off for something. She also played a lot of videos which are not helpful.

If you are a visual learner, It will be almost impossible for you to pass the class. She doesn't write on the board, making it hard to learn different verb tense conjugations, irregular or stem changing verbs. Hours of homework assigned on myspanishlab, practically feels like an online class. Expects you to teach yourself, this class ruined my GPA.

Very unclear with due dates and work requirements. Expects you to favor Spanish over everything else in life and expects you to attend all Spanish cultural events, even though most people only take the class for Gen ed. She makes it VERY difficult to get a good grade even if you already know the material. Class was very poorly managed.

The class was not structured whatsoever. She was never clear on when things were due. She is not good at speaking in front of people, which is why I question why she ever became a teacher. She does not follow the syllabus. Every day we were put into partners and handed busy work. She is nice but does not know how to teach the material. Period.

Comment:
Incredibly condescending. She has embarrassed me now twice in the last 4 classes. She also pronounces words with c & z with a 'th' which is not helpful when trying to understand her, as the majority of our LS101 classes did not use this 16th century pronunciation. If you would like busy work, take this class. I studied 2 hours before every class.

Changed my view of Spanish. Will not be taking more Sp classes at least until I have left FCC. She was not understanding, she was confusing, and did not help improve Spanish skills. Native Spanish speaker but spoke 5 words of Spanish all semester. Overall I was disappointed as I felt this class set me back instead of forward in my Spanish.

Did not like her as a teacher. Her test and quiz's are very inconsistent. You never know what things you should spend more time on studying. When she does give you what you need to study, it's very vague and will not help you come test day. Also has a lack of respect for her students

I just love her. She takes it very seriuosly working hard during the nigths and weekends to have a prepared class. If someone says she is not good it is probably because they have no interest on learning.

I have had several classes with her and my spanish has improved tremendously. I found her to be very helpful and the assignments were varied and relevant. The only students I know who didn't like her were the ones who had no interest in coming to class, much less paying attention.

I liked her. Friendly, helpful and makes sure we were prepared for the tests. We did exercises in groups in class. She varies the groups so we got to know everyone in class. I made new friends. She brought in a Spanish friend we could practice speaking to which was really fun. Easy and fun class.

Doesn't make anything clear. I probably will pass the class with an A but still don't like teacher. Doesn't remember what she assigned most of the time. VERY HARD TO GET A GOOD GRADE EVEN IF YOU UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL!!! Do not recommend
