FIND ANOTHER TEACHER Whatever you have learned in the past about algebra and trigonometry you might as well throw it out the window. You will have to learn her way and her way only. If you ask her a question she does a terrible job of solving your problem by making you feel stupid. I had no trouble in any mathematics until taking her.

I really loved Sandy Carlson. She is my absolute favorite teacher I have EVER had. I am an adult learner and and never understood math until this semester. She has clear expectations and teaches thoroughly. You can ask questions in class and she will answer them. I really enjoyed the class.

Avoid like plague. I dropped her class within the second week. I joked as I came into her class: "Hey guys you ready to forgot everything you know about mathematics and do it Sandy Carlsons way?". Expects you to do it her way or she will not give you credit even if the answers are mathematically correct. Dropped it and even register dislikes her.

In a nutshell she is in my opinion not a very good teacher she will sometimes shake off a question as if she doesn't know it or basically restate what she had already said. The homework is optional but trust me you probably want to do it because there is 98% chance you can teach yourself better than she can. Also the tests are the hardest Ivehadye

I had to retake remedial math after my year break so I have a good grasp of the material in class. That being said, I do enjoy her class. I have learned interesting tips and tricks to speed doing the math in my head. She will dock points for not breaking down your work and note book checks galore. Overall I like her class.

Her way of teaching is what makes statistics so hard to grasp. She is willing to help but not very clear when teaching. She gives outlines that she skips around on during lecture leaving students wondering where we are at.

I wouldn't take her class again, she just isn't clear with a lot of things. She is very picky. I once got a whole problem wrong because I didn't put a line through my equals sign. Or if you have the problem right, she'll mark it wrong if you didn't do a step specifically like she told you. It's just annoying. She is always willing to help you tho

AVOID AT ALL COST!!!Sandy Carlson is absolutely the worst teacher I've ever had. You will have 2-3 hours of homework every night minimum and it must be done perfectly every time in order to pass. It seems like she only grades your mistakes. Tests will look like a different language if you follow her. She will help but its less painful to pull teeth

She shouldnt be allowed to call herself a teacher. She puts questions on tests that she didnt teach us and then lies about teaching us the material. the only day that she did attempt to teach was the day that she was being observed by the department. I was 0.1 points from passing and it refused to pass me, her syllabus says that she will round.

I really like this math class and this teacher. You have to do the homework and of course STUDY for the tests. If you have a question she will stop and explain the problem to you and not make you feel stupid while she is doing it... She always gets back to you via email and is very patient.. I would take her again!

Horrible teacher. Tells you to print the outlines then doesn't tell you the blanks. Answers questions with a question. Unhelpful with minitab. Seams like she has no idea about statistics or how to teach it. If you pass you will be lucky.

I loved sandy carlson. The only reason nobody likes her is because you actually have to work in her class. If you keep up with the homework and are willing to put in the time and effort you will succeed. She gives fantastic help outside of class too, just ask! She's a teacher that makes you work. But it's college, suck it up and you'll be fine!

She would mark correct answers wrong if you didnt solve the problems the way she wanted you to. Dont bother doing your homework because she picks 3 questions to grade and thats how you get your grade on a 60 question assignment
