Professor Maunu is a great teacher. She is always happy which helped with an 8am class. She helped a lot with writing if you dont understand or if you are really bad at writing she takes her time to explain it step by step. Truly a good teacher one of my favorites.

Comment:

Such an amazing and genuine person! I love her so much! I had her for the first time this semester and I missed like 4 classes and she was totally understanding and never took away points from me because of it. Easy A as long as u write the response papers and two essays and study for two exams! She was the one teacher I didnt have to stress over.

Very sweet! She honestly tries really hard to make the class easy for people who aren't interested in writing by trying to make topics relatable and relevant. One book but not boring. Very clear of what she expects of you and is very helpful!

She is an amazing teacher! I would highly recommend her. We got lots of fun extra credit. She's very understanding and gives you good feedback on what needs to be improved and how to improve it . Very accessible outside class.

I have taken three classes with Leanne. She is one of the fairy godmothers of the english department. We read six plays and a slew of sonnets for this class, and I'll admit it was hard for me to keep up with the reading, but our in class discussions were always very helpful. Very understanding when I could not turn in my essay on time. Love her.

Literally, one of the best professors I have encountered. She actually cares and is willing to help if you put in the work. She tries here best to give you extra credit opportunities and will work with you if something prevents to from getting an assignment turned in. Just give her a heads up. Cares about her students. Best of the best!

I have taken both semesters of British Literature with Leanne. She expects you to do the reading and participate in discussions. She is very accessible via email or office hours if you need help or simply want to chat. Her syllabus and lecture notes are phenomenal. Leanne wants you to pass this class, and to enjoy it, and to really learn from it.

Maunu is the sweetest lady and an amazing professor. She makes you do a few essays to build up to your final paper (12 page research paper of your choice). You will have to use the lecture notes and article booklet for assignments and essays. Her class improved my writing a lot, which helps wit other classes.

Prof. Maunu is the BEST professor you will ever meet. She is very caring, brings positive attitude all the time, and very kind-hearted. Her lectures are phenomenal, explains the material very clearly, her activities are very creative, and you will be glad you took her class. She is available and be there for students all the time. She is amazing!

Dr. Maunu is hands down the most genuine and caring professor I have ever hand! She is so funny and gives great feedback so you can improve your writing. Had to write 4 essays and 1 research essay, however she offers class time, great lectures, and class activities to share ideas. I would encourage you to participate it makes class go by fast

While I have had many outstanding professors at Palomar College, I can say without a doubt that Professor Maunu is not only one of the best professors that I've ever had, but she is also undoubtedly one of the best people I have ever met. She is kind, considerate, and extremely intelligent. She makes learning so fun, you will not regret taking her.

Nice professor! I don't think I'm a great writer but she was very encouraging which made me want to work harder. You definitely need to buy the course packet from the student bookstore--we used it all the time (mine fell apart). Overall, would recommend her course.

Dr. Maunu is so kind, professional, adorable, helpful, and passionate about her work! She genuinely wants to see your writing improve, and you will be surprised at the end of the semester at how much better of a writer you'll become. You will have to work hard on the essays, but it is not too overwhelming. Her lectures are also very helpful.

Leanne is one of those professors that truely cares about her students. the work load can be a bit much, but she presents it in a way that doesn't overwhelm. A lot of the lecture time is devoted to helping you become a better essay writer and honestly it works. you will not find a better English professor at Palomar.

I have never met a nicer human being. Dr. Maunu is the epitome of a powerful woman-- she's intelligent, socially aware, and empathetic. I took her class on Violence in Literature a few years ago and again for Brit Lit II and I wish she could teach at my 4-year. She's a knowledgable, devoted, educator and a genuinely nice person to be around.

She is THE BEST! she is willing to help you with whatever she can. Listen to your questions and understand your issues, give a lot of extra credit, allow redo essay. She is always happy and funny. Sweetheart, clearly, and passionate, I can't say anything bad about her. Take her, you never gonna regret it. I would love to take her again if I can.
