Orchestra with Gephart is enjoyable and rewarding. He has a great understanding of music and you can tell he loves teaching it. Really nice guy, approachable. He does tend to talk a lot before we start rehearsal. Makes you do seating auditions every semester but really puts you at ease during them.

Gephart is such a kind-hearted human being and he really invests himself in putting forth an exceptional music experience for every student. He is extremely passionate about sharing the gift of music, and he is just overall a great guy. He truly cares about his students! Best music director ever! He has a humble demeanor, which is unusual for a band instructor. When I got injured after my first band camp, I was afraid to tell him that I couldn't do the low chair step for a few days. But he was very kind and understanding. I will never be afraid to approach him again. Marching Band with Gephart is the best!
