This prof is animated, fun, and always in a good mood. I'm now a senior and could say that this is the best English class I've taken at State. Lanzbom made me want to become a prof, actually, someday. Maybe I will. For now, I'm shooting for law school. Wish you all well!

My problem is I overwrite. So this class really helped when it comes to leaving the bare essence on the page. As for Lanzbom, I don't think they d come much nicer. He's into it like a student.

Lots of books, so there was an awful lot of reading (but graphic novels helped). Lots of film. Very approachable person, who was always in a good mood. He also respondes quickly to email and stayed after class with me several times to review. He graded a bit hard, but I'm happy with the outcome and would rec. him for sure.

He never did analysis + comparison of the books we read. He was never prepared + forgot what he assigned. He wasted our time talking about himself instead of talking about the books. He doesn't use his own material. He takes things from the internet and calls it his own. And then he grades harshly when he is a terrible professor! Unsat!

I've taken a few creative writing worksops before, but this one turned out to be a lot of fun. I actually enjoyed coming to class and laughed my a** off a lot of the time. Leon is a very funny, laid back guy and it was infectuous. He is totally into concision, so we usually ended up cutting our work down by a quarter or so. Highly rec.

I graduated last semester, and I have to say Lanzbom was, no doubt, the best professor I ever had (he would hate for us to use "no doubt" or "indeed." :) ). He's the sweetest man ever. I wanted to put him in my bag and take him home! I recently needed a letter of rec., and it was in my hands in two days! Love Lanzbom!!!

he was my TA for nericcio's class and i loved him! couldn't ask for a better TA. it's so awesome that he's a teacher now. he's so great and he's so cute! i loved going to his TA sessions, he was really sweet and he actualy cared about his students!awesome man, can't say anything else but awesome about lanzbom :) him and nericcio together were great

I concur with my peers: when it comes to life's lessons very few are as well suited to teach as Leon Lanzbom. More philosophical than literary, more dr. phil than luce irigary, Lanzbom guides his young charges through the circuitous ramblings that make life what it is. Truly a guru in the making.
