He presents off of the slides, talks at a normal speed but sometimes pauses and is very monotonous. If you want to pass this class, you need to study. I'm not kidding if you don't study you're out of luck. Only grades 5 things but everything is usually of the powerpoints. He's differently better in his own concentration than this class. Go to class

Guy has an accent and you cant understand him. He himself isnt understanding with peoples situations outside of school. Very cold man. if something happens to you and makes you miss classes dont expect him to care. He grades off of 4 tests. His notes in class dont have anything to do with the tests so mandatory attendance doesnt make sense.

He is the best! Come to class and take notes but for the most part you can do whatever you want. As long as you look like you're taking notes then he doesn't care what you do. The tests are literally from the slides and you don't even need to actually listen. The final paper is really easy and only needs quotes from the books so no need to buy them

If I were good at history, Inwould take this class again. He is so nice! I like his class, take notes and show up. Easy for me! Tests are also easy! Final paper needs to read books.

Not the greatest professor, but I've had worse. Tough to understand because of a thick Chinese accent. Bases grades off of 3 quizzes which he does not give study guides for (so it's up to you to really know the material) and a final paper. Take his class only if you are a history buff or have an interest in Asian history.

Li Li makes class mandatory yet cannot say anyone's name to begin with. He will mark you absent if he cant pronounce your name. His tests on his lectures are not to be answered by fact but by his opinion or you will fail. I will never recommend this professor to anyone!

I hated him. All he does is show powerpoints, movies, and TALK the entire class. It's a horrible class and EXTREMELY BORING! He doesn't tell you your grades on papers and he's hard to understand. Don't take him unless you absolutely have to. The only thing good about this class is when it's over.

Prof. Li has been great--I've taken four of his classes in Undergrad and Grad, and each time he has shown a willingness to work with me. He has a good sense of humor and enjoys what he does. I really loved this class in particular. His field is Asian studies, which is not mine, but still I learned a ton from him. Try him--you'll like him!
