The majority of my english professors have been an absolute joy to work with, I cannot say the same for Linda Bannister. To be completely honest Professor Bannister should not be in any academic setting whatsoever, she has a major superiority complex and speaks to students in a very condescending tone. I wouldn't recommend her to my worst enemies.

Dr. B demands a lot from the student. Reading a novel every two weeks, plus a lot of theory. Does not type up a lot of assignments, so gives the verbal on it, making things somewhat confusing. Even though I did not like her views and rages on sex and culture, if one is keen on the stuff, one may do better than I. I only liked the novels.

i was really excited for this class and was super disappointed after i took it. she appears to be really friendly, but can be quite condescending. she's good at stimulating discussion, but it's hard to learn when a teacher is purposely snide. plays favorites. and you better be really liberal or you're screwed!

Fun, interesting class. But she's totally fake. Like in class, she'll be all cool and interesting. But if you go to her for help outside of class, she's this total **** who just doesn't have time for you (this is even after you set up an appointment). I had a work-study gig with the English department one year...she was a ****ing mess & was mean to Maria Jackson (is she still there? she's dope.)

Great teacher! Keeps it real, knows how to have a good time. Class is interesting. If you are unclear about something she willingly helps you out. As for work, the class I took was once a wk so there was work due each class but it wasnt bad at all. Take her if you can.
