She does not provide clear instructions. She has several handouts for group project and they contradict each other. Online course was nearly impossible with group project (trying to get 4 or 5 people to meet at one time). I would not recommend this class to anyone. I wish I had known about this site before I took the class last semester.

Easily rattled. Tells you repeatedly how over worked she is. Send her an email needing a simple answer and the reply email is a novel that takes days to read and decipher. Gets worked up over nothing. Her reply email will be about how she is teaching you business communication; doesnt understand brevity at all. Grades fairly. Will respond quickly.

The professor did everything she could to make sure the class was both interesting and easy to pass. Has a style of teaching that really shows she studied acting. A lot of the class is decided by other people, like all FYS classes, but she does her best to make sure you complete the assignments. An excellent choice for freshmen to take as FYS.

Professor Smith is passionate and knows her stuff! She made the class very interesting. The exams are very hard but the presenations are fun. I learned a lot & really enjoyed this class. She is one of the most helpful professors I've had yet!

This lady is a basket case, but a GREAT professor. She knows what she's doing and will go out of her way to help you if you have trouble. She has the best interest of her students in mind and moves slowly for those who need it.

Although she is sort of crazy and sometimes strange, she is very nice and has the students' best interests in mind. The class was not hard at all, as long as you attended lecture and did the homework you could get an A. Studying for the tests was not difficult, all you have to do practice problems with the homework.

Overall, a good professor. She cares about her students and is very kind. Always willing to help. She wants her students to make the best grade possible. She gets confused sometimes and also is sometimes hard to understand. She offers a 10% bonus for perfect attendance.

She is psychotic and awesome. She takes daily attendance, but she if you show up for every class this is a VERY easy A. She gives you all the test questions in advance, and alot of extra credit. Take her!!!

If your presentation skills don't improve you didn't show up for class. Yes you will be be in her office for long periods of time if you stop by and yes she is a walking encyclopedia but none the less she is awesome!! I would take her again hands down, very entertaining and passionate about what she does. One of the best professors at MSU!!

Comment:

I've had her for BIS 421 and worked with her in CIS 101. She's willing to help her students if they ask for help. She has a different personality, but then she used to be an actress. She is great for BIS 421, I would recommend her to anyone for that class. For CIS 101, I would suggest that if you are clueless take either her or Robert Brown.
