Luke is the strangest but most respectable prof you will ever meet. He uses a very large vocabulary which often can lead to some confusion, but he's so nice and the happiest man alive. He will come into class every day with a smile and giggle. Had a paper 2-3 pages due every class period and you will get a few 5-6 page papers throughout the year.

I had Luke for Literary Theory and Criticism. Luke is an absolutely wonderful professor. He clearly loves what he does and has great passion and energy. You write almost every day for the class, and it's strongly discussion based rather than lecture. I learned a ton and would definitely recommend the class and the professor!

Film Heaven, as Luke calls it, is incredible. He completely alters the way one views a film. The "labs" are amazing, as the movies are brilliant, and class is a blast. He is a little intimidating at first (he knows everything), but he truly is a great guy. Awesome laugh, and wants everyone to do well. By far my favorite class of college.

Hilarious...I laugh in class the whole time! Homework is easy most of the time, and he is more than willing to help whenever, he lives on campus. It is nice to have a common curriculum class that isn't boring!

Luke is hands down one of the most inspirational and enthusiastic professors I have ever had in my life. He is beyond brilliant and makes coming to class exciting! Luke is awesome! He always comes to class with a smile on his face and his laugh is ridiculous. After a couple weeks the students take over doing presentations but he helps you out so much. No tests ever. Just likes participation. Very intelligent man.

He is HILARIOUS and makes the material SO approachable. Be warned after a couple of weeks he stops teaching and gives class over to student presentations, tho he still directs the discussion. The presentations are not scary at all, and between his individual attention and the class's comments, the papers are half written for you. Fun, not 2 hard.

I don't understand why Luke has this low rating. He is the coolest prof I have ever had. His philosophy on teaching is awsome. After we watch films I stay after just asking him questions. He's also incrediably nice. Take Film Studies by any means, you won't regret it.
