Awesome Professor. Class is excellent and you will learn a lot. Utilizes an open note policy for exams which makes them fair and more practical. Exams are mostly applying knowledge, and will found directly in the textbook.

I took AP Bio in HS, so I knew the material a bit which helped some. If you didn't, it's still passable but a LOT of work. She skims the surface of what you need to know in lecture, and you need to read the book to get the rest. Her tests are a LOT of application to actually see if you KNOW the material rather than memorize it. GO TO RECITATION!

I took notes in all the lectures and thoroughly read the textbook, but her exams are too confusing to pass even if you understand the material. My friends and I were all failing. She wouldn't help and didn't seem to care.

Says she will only test on lecture material. lies! read the book and pay attention in class. Many things on the exam are not in the text book. overall, if you can avoid her (which for the most part you cant because shes the only one teaching in the spring) do so!

I love how she teaches us certain definitions for the exam and then, In her almighty wisdom, decides to become the Biology God and CHANGE the terms for the midterm. Her exams are esoteric, confusing, unfair, and tricky. This teacher is the absolute most heinous woman I know. She is a vile creature. Most of her students have dropped out.

Best Bio Prof @ Lehigh. Cell Bio is a great class because of her. I'll never forget all of those cascade reactions. Her research is brilliant and more advanced than most in the dept. Be kind to her, she is a great lady. She's a Mayanist too.

Cassimeris is a great teacher- she is excellent at explaining the subject, and the tests are fair, even easy if you study a bit. interesting stuff, and she's one of the few cool bio profs

Cell Biology is one of the best Bio courses with the material being interesting and with Cassimeris being an excellent very clear lecturer while making lecture fun and humorus at the same time. Tests are fair though Cassimeris can be cold outside of class
