This guy DOESN'T TEACH. He makes students give presentations each class and then he'll talk about an article but he goes off topic so much that I have learned more from the students than from him. Be prepared to present as soon as classes begin. OH, and good luck trying to reach him through email or office hours.

He will never answer your emails. If you try to ask him a question in person he wouldn't answer the question, very anti-social. The final made no sense and I didn't learn anything the whole semester.

I'm not sure what the point of this class was. He doesn't teach anything and every class is a combo of student and guest presentations. He doesn't give any guidelines for any of his assignments but grades them pretty strictly. Like everyone else said he's quite rude. The class is incredibly boring too. Would not take again.

Incredibly rude to students and guest presenters. Does not explain any of the assignments. He doesn't even teach anything in the class so I'm not sure why he is the 'instructor'. I would never take a class with him again.

He will try to push many internship opportunities your way, which is great. He takes strict attendance and writes notes next to your name if he sees you texting or leave class early. A bit rude to students and the presenters. Other than that, very smart guy. Truthfully would not take him again.

Beware! This teacher made sexist comments in class!! I did all the work CORRECTLY and WELL and I still only got a B+. He does not teach at all; he makes his students give lectures instead. I learned nothing in this class and I should not have gotten below an A. Terrible teacher and person. Do not take this class.

He doesn't expect much from his class. no tests or assignments besides one powerpoint. Don't have any readings, you read them out loud in class. However, this semester he missed a total of 7 lectures to travel the world. The subs he had only talked about their own research. Takes attendance every class. Annoyed that I payed for him to travel...

Very interesting class. Make sure you put effort into your OpEd pieces because they are graded strictly along with the business letters. Other than that there is a presentation and a final. For the final, it is topic based not exactly speaker based so make sure you know the topics that are discussed throughout the semester well.

Doesn't know what he's talking about, doesn't know how to grade and constantly interrupts speakers. Doesn't pay attention to student's questions and just rambles on. He is very self-absorbed and doesn't care about the student's viewpoints at all. Constantly shows off that he's being shown in a documentary or tv spot too!

Not very knowledgeable: frequently wrong but HATES being corrected. Out of touch with reality. Easy to pass, hard to get a good grade. Slow getting things done, will "yes" you to make you leave him alone, then pretend the conversation never happened: get it in writing (ie e-mail). I'm liberal and an enviro minor but I'll avoid him in the future.

nice guy. i had him for a one credit seminar and he was pretty easy going, let us call the shots and ordered pizza every week for us. always brought guest lecturers. not very demanding. reminds me of the professor you could get **** with at a bar.
