hes much more a sociologist than a professor so if youre not super into the history of immigration from the pilgrims, its gonna be boring and determined by tests that are open ended, vague, and graded extremely tediously, not worth your effort

Prof. Park is a living god. While he may give out a lot of work, the burden is lightened by his humor and iconic catchphrases (if you take his class you'd know what I'm saying). I look forward to his class every day. APAM with Park is not a class, it's not even an experience, but it's a lifestyle.

Lots and lots of reading for the class, but his lectures are all based on the reading so read and you'll be fine. He's passionate about what he teaches and the lectures are interesting, but he assigns a huge study guide for the final and gives lots of out of class work.

Prof Park seemed passionate about the FYS focus, but he relied on student presentations of readings the entire semester. He realized on numerous occasions that he was giving too much work and would cancel class because he felt bad. Didn't really seem to care about the students and would make condescending comments at times. Would avoid if possible.

Pf Park makes you work an insane amount for no reason. I took this class in the summer and he treated it as if it was the normal semester. A LOT of reading, he makes you do two-slide presentations for every single class that he takes over. And when you ask him a question he doesn't really answer it. Avoid him especially if this is not your major

Professor talks so slow, takes forever to get to one point. He also covers the same points over and over, such as some events that we know front and back and unnecessary. Most of the class is presentations by students that are then taken over by him. Hes not too hard of a grader but he does expect participation and hard tests.

Mr. Park is the type of teacher who flaunts his 'impressive' credentials, but has no idea how to apply them to a classroom setting. His assignments are very vague, as are his lectures. not a good teacher.

He reprinted the syllabus two or three times. Went to a study session and asked questions, but he told me that I should've listened in class. Unclear with what he expects for answers on midterm&final, even after reviewing midterm with him. Other than that there's one photo essay (8 pages of text) which isn't too bad.

One of the most arrogant professors I've ever had. I'd say don't bother raising your hand since he'll just shoot it down, but if no one participates he'll get all passive aggressive on the class. Don't be late. He calls you out for everything. Only reason I did well was because I already took an APAM class before. Interesting topic, bad professor.

Dr. Park humiliates students when they don't know the answers. He is constantly cursing in class and complaining that students are ill-prepared. This was the worst experience I've had at LMU.

He doesn't teach. He has students present material and he berates them for not knowing everything. He assigned 7 essay questions and 35 terms for the midterm. Unreasonable, rude, arrogant and boring. Do not take.

Most arrogant professor I have ever taken. He doesn't teach the class, he has his students do it via presentations. It would have been an interesting class with a different professor.

Professor is knowledgeable of the subject, but is super unreasonable with his assignments. Be prepared to do a LOT of reading, and don't raise your hand unless you're 100% sure that your answer is correct. He will more than likely shut you down and humiliate you. Also, he always pointlessly rambles about one small, unrelated topic for hours.

Great teacher, smart, funny with lots of relevant information and views to share! LOTS of reading, a nice photo essay and Mid Term and Final-- so Listen, read a lot and do the especial responsibilities. Fascinating topic, I learned a lot.
