Seriously, if you want to learn anything, DO NOT take his class. When asked a question, he feeds you the same line: "If you weren't doing it right, I'd tell you." He did so, even when I had not started the assignment yet! I confronted him, and he confessed, "As you've surmised, I don't know how to paint, but don't worry you're going to get an A! "

Romano is amazing, but don't take his class if you can't handle criticism! He expects the most from his students and if he knows you can do better he will put you through hell until you show him better. If you're an art major, TAKE THIS CLASS!! He'll help you with finding the right college and getting your life together. Great teacher and person.

Mr. Romano is a jovial, highly educated instructor who knows how to bring out the best in his students. He has years of experience in the field of art and his advice is spot on. He is thoughtful and caring but tells you what you need to hear. If you are a serious art major then he should be your first choice.

Romano far exceeds the criteria needed to be one of the most helpful teachers on the planet. The focus is academic, so expect to learn something if you take any of his classes. Don't listen to the whiners; if you take his class you will learn, but only if you apply yourself. Also, great taste in tea and music.

Don't let these ratings fool you, he is definitely one of the worst. I've won multiple awards in art shows in the past. I took this class hoping to brush up on my acrylic skills, but all he did was try to tell me that my methods were wrong, and push his "style" on me (and he was very rude/unfriendly about it). There was virtually no fun or freedom.

This guy will try to propogandize you to his political thinking. Far too left wing extremist. Extremly intorlerant of those differenet from him. He hates intolerance but is extremely intolerant himself. Verbally abusive and insulting. Keep the politics out of the classroom and stick to teaching art, He gives art/artists a bad name in my opinion.
