Dr. Cadieux really cares about her studio and understands that people grow musically at different rates. Her explanations of technique and musicianship are very clear and helpful, and I've learned a lot from her. She means business, and has no tolerance for slackers, but as long as you show her you are doing your best she is wonderful.

I love Dr. Cadieux! I have her for aural skills, and not only is she extremely helpful, she is very understanding of the fact that people move at very different paces in that area. Because of that, most of your grade depends on doing your homework, not on correctness. You will definitely see improvement in your ears if you take her and do the work.

FABULOUS TEACHER! i had her for all 3 music theories and aural skills 3. she is, by far, one of my favorite teathers ever. she grades pretty tough, but if you argue your point, she's quick to change your grade. be prepared to study for your theory tests- but if you visit the theory lab the night before the test, you'll do great. TAKE HER!

Comment:

She is an extremely nice professor. Her class is always interesting and she doesn't assign much work. When she does, she usually lets you start it in class and since it is short, you usually can get it done. Her tests are not that easy, but she usually lets you know ahead of time exactly what's on them. Overall good professor!

Dr. Cadiux is an amazing cello instructor. She finally taught me the proper form (out of 6 total teachers I've been with) and is very patient and funny. She is also serious about the music so PRACTICE and do your work, or she'll know. Don't bother going to lessons if you don't practice.

I love Dr. Cadieux! She is a very challenging teacher and she moves at a rapid pace, but she's very good at explaining things. She has a sense of humor and likes to have fun, but knows how to stay on topic as well. In the end I'm so glad that I took her because I know I learned so much.

Not too bad, just very precise about whats required and what she expects. Doesn't make you go to performances, but If you have a hard time hearing different parts of a song, you'll have a tough time w/ the tests.
