Professor Martin is such a caring person. She expects you to read and learn the material but always goes over what you read in class. Assignments are super easy to complete. If you take it seriously and invest some time into it her class is easy to do well in.

She is a nice person but an awful teacher. She "teaches" as if you already know the material - which I didn't. She tries to explain when you ask questions but ultimately still doesn't make it clear. She skips over subjects in the book that she "doesn't agree with" yet they still appear on the test. She is moody and even stormed out of my class.

WARNING: she picks favorites... I was one of them. Be respectful and show initiative and you'll be fine. She understands that most don't care about anything past 211 other than being done with Spanish. Not too much homework, decent on grading. Cares a lot about Spanish culture, less intense on grammar. I'd recommend for 211.

Terrible. Can't even explain in it words. The picking favorite things is blatantly obvious; very bipolar and gets offended when students question her assignments. Doesn't look too good when about 5-6 students in a class have major issues with her. That obviously says something. Honestly, try to avoid. Unless you are ready for a really rough ride.

Nice until you do one thing wrong to make her angry. Can't ever miss class, can't ever be late for class, can't get extensions on homework. Definitely picks favorites and if you aren't a favorite you are pretty much out of luck.

She is nice most of the time and is funny, tries to make class interesting. You hardly do anything in class, but that makes the tests hard because you have to teach yourself. If she doesn't like something you did, she tells you in a rude way. Don't take her.

Marina is a perfectionist, and is very picky about how homework is turned in, how essays are written, etc. She expects a lot from her students, and sometimes these expectations are really high. Plan on basically learning everything by yourself, as often the stuff she talks about in class doesn't have a lot to do with what's on the tests or essays

Marina was one of my favorite teachers ever. She is always so upbeat and positive. She really believes that every student can learn spanish. She does not hammer the language on you, so if you are taking this class just because you have to, she is the best.

Great prof, but get on her good side early. Definitely picks favorites. She'll love you if you seem to take her class seriously. She loves Spanish and likes to see her students do well. She is very encouraging of those who are successful, but seems to sort of give up on those who don't do as well.

Terrible teacher, didn't learn anything and she picks favorites. Material covered what I learned through Soph year of high school, if she doesn't like you she will be a huge you know what to you. You'd be better off not going to class and teaching yourself, then you at least wouldnt have to deal with her.

VERY nice lady, her spiradic laughing will crack you up. Overall, class was easy, don't do much, however, don't learn much and TESTS WERE HARD in result. You are golden if you impress her and become a "favorite". She gives opportunities to raise your grade. Recommend if you just want to get a language course done, not for spanish majors.
