You give one 20 minute presentation and take a final on the presenations he thought were the best. Most of the reviews say he is an easy grader but alot of people got c's and d's on the presentations. He told one girl she failed the class after her presentation, but it was an awful presentation that she clearly made 5 minutes before class.

Rating: 8.6/10 Difficulty: 3.1/10 Grade derived from PowerPoint presentation (50%) and final exam (50%)- he is neither lenient nor strict in his grading, but the workload is quite minimal. I can only assume most people made an A in this class. Final was writing essays on 3 of the PowerPoint presentations.

This is an Easy class, but get ready to want to pull your hair out. He talks so much and most of the time it is not relevant or interesting. If you can have patience ( and selective hearing) then go ahead and take his class for an Easy A!

Mark Berger is something else, his teaching style is all over the place. Basically this ITDS class was nothing but every student giving a presentation about a global issue every time we had class. And the final was him picking like two of the presentations that he liked and he asked us questions on that topic. But just to warn you he is a TALKER!!

I did not gain any knowledge from this class. Sure there are only two assignments, a power point presentation and a final exam, but Mr. Berger does not provide a rubric. Mr. Berger is very subjective and does not provide constructive criticism or feedback. I do not recommend his class to anyone.

Easy A. There is 1 presentation and final, both worth 50%. He is VERY liberal with his grading policy. Just show up to class, do the presentation, watch other presentations, and take the final. Very stress free class.

This class was a breeze! 2 assignments: a powerpoint presentation on a topic of your choice and a final exam based on the best powerpoints. The final exam is easy because he tells you which powerpoints you will be tested on in advance. Easy, Easy, Easy! One of the easiest classes at CSU, and he's a super cool guy. I would highly recommend him!

Likes to talk a lot!! Okay teacher just boring. All that is required in this class is a powerpoint presentation. Just make sure to take notes on the other's because that's what your final will cover.

I took Dr. Berger's class years ago. Prior to his class, I hated history. His personal knowledge and anecdotal information about the history made it the best class in my undergraduate coursework. Superb. They don't get better than this.

Easy class. Only 2 assignments, power point and final. You ony attend his class 1 day of the week for less than an hour. If you do good on 1st assignment then you passes. Tells you exactly what the final is covering. Doesn't take much to make an A in this class. He's worth 1 credit. TAKE HIM!!!

Old, knows his**** though. Probably b/c he lived through it. Really nice guy. Sounds lke the Bill "The Butcher" from Gangs of New York when he speaks. Easy class. Easy A. 2 Grades: Presentation & Final which are ridiculously easy.Try to stay awake in class tho.

i took him for topics in global issues the class is very boring but an easy A......he says uhh every 5 seconds and reminds me of a turtle. but you can just do something else while he talks.......there only one presentation most people got an A on and a matching final......which he gives you a study guide for

Nice guy and very easy. One of the few classes I didn't have to attend b/c his tests are straight out of the book. Unfortunately most students in my class were still failing b/c they were too stupid to crack a book. They kept complaining that it wasn't fair for the test to cover material that he didn't cover in class. Not fair in third grade, maybe

Dr. Berger knows his stuff and has lots of interesting personal experiences to share with the class (slightly liberal biased). That said, he is a bit old-school and it is true that he requires transparencies. Class is very easy...good way to finish off your ITDS requirements!
