Had Mrs. Crowe for american lit, she is wonderful, strays off subject occasionally but is funny and genuinely a nice person and wants to help er students if she can. Great professor, wish more professors were like her!!!

Stay Away. We never got a true syllabus just a projected schedule which changed weekly. She didn't even know the days and times for the class. Barely knows how to send Email. I learned nothing. Contradicts herself about what is required. I told her I was unsure about her expectations for an assignment and she told me to pray about it.

Awful! Stay away! Loads of reading, unclear on everything. Forgets and changes her mind about the same stuff all the time. Senile, never let's you know what needs to be done on assignments. If you question her she's very rude and defensive. She should have stayed retired.

As a woman, Crowe is hilarious and very well-versed; however, as a teacher I'm not sure what I can say. She likes debates and rarely ever tells you anything about the material and goes on tangents all the time. Her tests consisted of 11 characters/symbols from the reading and you chose 10. I wrote my hand off and came out alright.

I love this class! We got to read a lot of cool authors, and the discussions were really laid back. She's really funny with these random comments. She's kinda like that grandmother that's really scatter-brained, and tells kinda dirty innuendos. She's awesome!

i would stay away from this class the lectures are very unorganized and the syllabus has changed several times during the course. the tests are very difficult and essay. quizzes are random and usually just an attendance quiz dont take this class i wanted to drop and would have if i could have and i may end up taking it again w/ a diff. teacher

She's a sweet old lady. But she should not be teaching anymore. She's very interesting in class, but when it comes to test, you have no idea what to expect. Her grading differs according to her mood. Forgets easily and changes her mind a million times. Be vocal and you could possibly get an A. She's not the best and she's not the worst.

Not very clear in instructions for assingments. Easy to get along with though, and not a hard class to pass. However, not an easy A. Martha is a nice person and sometimes funny, but lacks the ability to detach herself while teaching from her personal beliefs. I singed up for an american lit course and I got a women's studies instead. Very feminist.

Does not know what she is talking about. She can be nice sometimes, but she has her days when she gives pop quizes! She expects you to read a lot and many times she will tell you to read something and after you read it she changes her mind and tells you to read something else. I would not advise anyone to take her class.

Good Heavens where to even begin ... Poor Martha jumps all over the place during her lectures, she doesn't exactly give specific instructions, she's a really nice woman and you will laugh in her class but unless you have a 2 page thesis statement on any paper, you can consider that paper either a C or a C-.

Martha Crowe is seriously an ex-hippie. She is very easy A if you attend class, but the biggest challenge of the class is trying to figure out what the hell is going on. She didn't even hand out a syllabus until the class was half over.
