I was honestly surprised by all the bad rating this professor has on here, I actually found her lectures easy but I understand why people find it challenging because she teaches very quickly. attendance is mandatory which sucked, but her teaching is clear. if you have questions she doesn't mind going over things again just make sure to ask lots

Comment:

She treats you like you're in high school, with seating charts and making you turn in a piece of paper with your name on it at the end of class if you are even ONE MINUTE LATE. Embarrassing to call her a collegiate professor that does that. Overall, with mathematics, she's a good professor and she loves the class and is enthusiastic. She does rush.

Professor Dunham, as a mathematician, is good. She knows the material well and truly enjoys it. However, as a person, she is awful. She is rude and belittling to students. I got the feeling she is racist as well. She was rude to the asian kids and anytime the black girl that sat next to me asked a question, she would belittle her and discredit her.

Worst teacher I have ever had. Extremely rude when you ask a question. Keep to yourself, attend class and attend the tutor more. I enjoy math but this class with this teacher was miserable. Stay away!!

I read through the other comments before I rated her and I saw a ton of negativity. Honestly this is a great teacher if you have an understanding of math concepts already. If math is not your strong suit don't sign up with this teacher. If you love a challenge and you are already intelligent she is the best teacher you can ask for.

First of all, DO NOT PURCHASE THE BOOK, only the online code is needed. Professor Dunham is very loud and enthusiastic during her lectures although if she doesn't like you or you ask a dumb question, she will make you feel idiotic in front of everyone. Other than that she's the best math teacher I've ever had. Very clear teaching. No phones either

OH Boy! Stay Away! Do not ask questions because she will sarcastically belittle you. Keeping up with Dunham in class is impossible because she writes and talks too damn fast. Just copy everything and try to learn it either yourself or with the help of tutors. Do not waste money on a text book because it is not used. Just get that mymathlab code.

This was a recipe for disaster. Easily my least favorite class and least favorite professor ever. She teaches the class so quickly that I'm not even sure if she stopped to breath. She's strict with her attendance as well. Her review sessions were helpful but overall she is not a strong professor. If you're good at teaching yourself, you'll be fine.

Had her at Meremac last semester. She is terrible. I was afraid to ask her questions and the couple times that did she gave me the wrong answer. I barely passed this class. I am older and took this class because I wanted to be there. I did all the homework and made it to every class. I think with a different teacher I would have an A. Rude!

I do not recommend this teacher at all. She goes through material so fast that you can hardly take notes. When you attempt to ask a question, she either ignores you or treats you with little respect. You can tell she tries to somewhat care, but she is just not worth taking.

To pass this class, you basically have to do everything the way she wants you to. She covers all the material well, but seems to belittle students who have questions. It is possible to pass this class, she is just not very easy to get along with. I'd recommend having as little contact with her as possible, as get help from the math tutors not her.

Her tips for remembering how to do problems were great, but that's about it. She has terrible bedside manner. She's pretty much an insane person. If your the kind of person that will want feed back form the instructor, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. If you can handle the course work solo the you'd probably me ok.

I do not recommend this teacher at all. She pends more time talking about her life in relation to the problems than explaining the problems fully. She also makes you feel like an idiot for talking and you cannot leave the room during class or you lose points. Pay close attention, she makes small mistakes that can cause a large amount of confusion

Took her calc3 class at STLCC. Never had a worse teacher. I received a good grade, but I felt like i figured out most of it on my own. When you ask her questions, she makes you feel like an idiot and she can't do any problem without looking at her notes. Really doesnt seem to like teaching. Gives lots of bonus problems tho.

Took Calc 3 at STLCC Meramec over the summer. Versus Goetz, she returns tests on time. Much better than Calc 3 down at Rolla. Class included Mathematica Projects which I found really useful. I don't know why all the algebra people(see comments below) don't like her. She never flipped out or made too many silly mistakes.

Maybe if she spent as much time telling corny jokes as she did explaining the math, i would've learned something. she was a total b and i ended up dropping the class. i just knew it wasn't going to work out. and i can't stand that she wants the online lab to do the teaching for her.

This professor is now at Maryville Univ and Meramec I took her at Maryville and withdrew before the deadline. She openly admitted that she was dyslexia and I couldn't pinpoint it but I knew something just wasn't right with her style/method of teaching. I am sure I can pass Elem Alegegra but not if I take it with her...
