Professor Hamel is quite old and not the very best when it comes to clarifying things. I really struggled in her class and somehow managed to get a B-. Her tests were very hard and it was an extremely boring class.

Dr. Hamel is extremely knowledgeable and clear, and loves her subject. I was a maths and computer science major and had no trouble with the course. She'll gladly make time to discuss the course with you. All the complaints are from people who are astounded that they're expected to do work in a college course.

I heard horror stories about Mary Hamel, but once I took her wound up loving her class. I?d always been a bit of a shy person, and she never called me out about it like most other profs. Extremely intelligent and thought-provoking. She will be sorely missed.

Contrary to popular belief, Mary Hamel is a great teacher. She is hard-core-old-school strict, but she knows the material. Am very sad she is retiring; I want to take one of her lit courses.

I had her freshman year and she was quit difficult at first, but she grows on you and she really likes it if you come to her for help. She will basically go over everything for you if your having problems in the class. She's very helpful.
