Dr. Chen is one of the worst professors I have encountered. I would recommend avoiding her as much as possible. She is hard to understand and is also very rude when you ask questions on topics you do not understand. She often criticizes or belittles students intelligence when you do not understand a topic or concept. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!

Dr. Chen is one of the most difficult professors I've encountered. You have to study and work for it but you'll actually learn. She is more than willing to help you, all you have to do is go to her office and ask for it. If you can take her, I'd do it.

She assigns LOTS of homework and quizzes, both of which do help towards the test granted it is A LOT of work. She has flexible office hours. She teaches off notes online which is only minimally helpful. Overall she is a good teacher, just tough.

She is the most helpful teacher you will encounter and gives tons of extra credit. Hard to understand because of her accent but you will catch on. Goes out of her way to help you after class with questions.

It's do-able... she explains some points better than others. She has to go very fast during class which can be very fustrating, but it's alot of material to cover in a semester. Do ALL your homework because if you get behind on one... it's hard to catch up. Look at it this way, she's better than most in the math department.

Worst teacher ever, I swear she is my chinese teacher. I ask her questions and she gets pissed off and gets so loud. She has some stupid quiz everyday and never goes over any of it. Oh ya and she never even TEACHES what she is doing she just does it without telling you how !!!

You can't understand her and she gives way too much homework in a textbook that doesn't help you any if you have a question. Plus she makes you show your work. When in life will you need to show your work? there will always be a calculator somewhere in this day and age. she should be more calculator oriented because thats what we'll actually use when we get on the outside

Pre-Calculus is suposed to get you prepared for Calculus. Yeah, you can go back for extra help and she will TRY to help you. Good luck understanding the help though. This class is like taking a foreign language. It's pointless to even go to the class. You can't understand a word she says. You'd be better off just taking Calculus 131.

Calc I with Dr. Chen! Whew! Actually she is very understanding and a great professor. The material is difficult, but if you do ALL your homework it is easy to get over a 100 in the homework average. Print out her notes, PAY ATTENTION, and you'll get an A!

She's definitely tough, but she also knows her stuff. She'll do anything to help you out, and no matter what you have in her class at the end of the semester, if you make an A on her final exam (it's doable, believe me), she'll give you an A overall.
