Do NOT take this class as an online class. Dr. Hail did not provide lecture notes . He did not answer email questions. He basically posted assignments and they were not posted according to the syllabus. He did not post grades nor provide your grade. It was too much stress and work for a 100 level class. I learned nothing.

Dr. Hail is... interesting. His lectures were off the wall (I took this class at night, so it was three hours, and it got a little rambly)- decidedly conservative, and made his opinions clear, but your opinion didn't really come in to play in grading or even in class. All of our assignments were graded pretty easily, but the final was INSANE.

You NEED to attend class in order to pass. He gives amazing lectures and you really have to listen and pay attention. I had a midterm, paper, and final. One of the nicest professors ever. Keeps class interesting.

Dr. Hail is by far one of the best professors I have had. His tests are hard, but if you do the reading and pay attention you can pass. If you have any questions he is more than happy to answer them. I would recommend this professor to anyone.

I adore this man, he is extremely awesome. He even came to an event I hosted. Dr. Hail is always willing to help his students 24/7 LITERALLY! He makes his test hard to prepare his students, if you come to class and take notes you will pass, if you slack you will fail. I am a GOVERNMENT thanks to him! I recommend him to anyone. He is the BEST!

Although there are only two tests and one paper that you are graded on for the whole semester, if you don't do well on them you will fail. I got a B on all three and ended up with a B. His lectures were awful... literally the most boring things ever and he was always at least ten minutes late to class... I thought he was way too opinionated.

Dr. Hale puts forth a ton of material that he expects you to learn, but he is willing to help you after class if you need help. While he's been late for almost every single class, it isn't worth to miss because what he puts out is important. His lectures are amazing, and hilarious as he makes what you're learning a little easier. Tests are hard.

Cancelled class a lot which isn't very helpful in this class because his lectures help a lot on his assignments and exams. If you have time to do the readings do it but if not pay attention during lecture and you can get what you need for the class. If you can incorporate his opinions on the readings on assigments and exams that can help a lot!
