Comment:

This guy wasn't as bad as ppl put him out to be. Programming assignments were hard without outside help, but prof. was very flexible with the due dates and allows you to redo the PAs for a better grade. Cheat sheet allowed for exams. Also recommend forming study groups and looking at old exams, which you could get by asking anyone in CoSE for one.

This professor is horrible, this is a worst semester ever in my life. I had to take his class because i have no choice. His has like 80-100 slides and go over in 1 hour. The guys mumbling in his mouth. Two lab assignments per week plus outside class lab and 7 hw, all extremely hard. This guy does not know how to teach at all. SO HORRIBLE :((

This teacher does not know how to teach at all. He has 180 slide of powerpoint per session and they are all useless. This stuff he puts on the exam is totally unfair and we don't go over them in class. The reason I had to take this guy is because I had no other choice :(

This is the first and only time I have ever rated a teacher on this website, but this is worth saying. This teacher knows his stuff and is passionate about his field, except he does not know how to effectively teach. You will go over at least 70 - 180 slides per class with almost little to no discussion. If you want to pass - you better study hard.

If you think this is the worst teacher at SJSU you're a failure of a CMPE/SE student. His class emphasizes REAL world information so if you can't handle it maybe you shouldn't be pursuing engineering. You will learn a lot from this class if you allow yourself and it will help you get a job one day as a programmer if you learn.

Brace yourself to get the most toughest papers in mid and final. But thanks to the grader, you get better marks then expected. Lectures are really boring, monotonous. Will have pop-up quiz in each lecture at the end, google it, difficult to find.

I was scared of this guy when I first started SJSU, but Robinson turned out to be an OK guy. His assignments and tests for 152 and 102 were reasonable, and he scales the final grades. I got an A+ in both classes. Yes, I had to work hard, but the knowledge I gained in both classes has helped me so far. Also, he doesn't fail people for missing stuff

Probably the worst teacher i've seen in comp. engg. department so far. The HW's are okay but he grades 'em on effort so u end up getting 100% for turning it whtever. Labs r freakin hard and take forever but only 15% worth in ur final grade. The lectures r extremely boring. He covers about 100 slides in 50 min. U learn nothing.

Tried new labs this semester - not all had to do with course description. General lecture feel is one of apathy on his part. Lots of "well, I'm not going to explain this" instances as well. Not bad, but mediocrity is the norm for this class.

In order to PASS the class, you must (1) get credited for ALL labs, and (2) get a good grade on the final exam. This is an extremely challenging class. Start EARLY on labs especially for the B-Tree Lab. Goodluck! GG!

This was suppose to be the hardest class in the CMPE. It was not that bad when I took it. It his method of failing that scares people. If they can't get partial credit on just one lab assignment you FAIL! Just try to get credit on all the labs and study real hard for the midterms and final. Make sure you do all the homework.

EXTREMELY BAD TEACHER!!! He never give u back the graded HW, doesn't give the exams back.. You will not know until the end how u r doing in his class since u won't get back ur work at all. His EXAMS r extremely hard.. Almost impossible to pass this class with this sucker.. He sucks the blood out of you and then fails YOU. DONT TAKE HIM !!!
