Pat G is one of the best profs I have had. Doesn't waste your time with busy work. You definitely have to put in a lot of time/work, but you can get an A. Every test is an essay question or two and you write as much as you know. Fair grader, even gives bonus points if he sees that you're going above and beyond.

Dr. Gallagher is the best professor I have ever had. I had him for multiple classes and learned so much from him. He expects you to read and know the material, and participation is very important towards your grade. He is very accessible outside of class and is always willing to help you will papers or whatever you need. Highly recommend his class!

One of my favorite Spanish professors... really cut and dry with assignments and readings. Without reading you won't pass though and doing prep for class makes it much easier. Overall a good professor who I would gladly take more classes with

Best Spanish professor EVER!! So amazingly helpful. Made Spanish class one of my favorite classes. If you put in the time and effort, this can be such a fun class. Pat makes a boring Spanish class a blast with fun conversations about real world stuff. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Do yourself a favor and take anything that this man is teaching!

Wonderful professor, thought I'd hate this class but he makes it interesting and truly wants you to enjoy it. Fair course-study his lectures and the book and you'll get an A. Very straightforward, lots of memorization and you'll do great

I had so much trouble with this class, and his teaching methods are a big part of it. I visited his office many times, and he gave me advice that was contrary to what was on the test. His tests are over everything, and the tests will vary from one to the other. I would recommend not taking his classes if you can avoid it.

Great class! He often makes the students lead the discussions so always be prepared for class. On essays quantity is much more important than quality.

Have had multiple classes with him. Don't know of a person who dislikes him, really. Do be prepared for class, as he often has student-centered sessions (students lead the discussion). And with his tests, knowing the information is always good, but be sure to keep on writing, as quantity can offset mediocre quality of the answer.

Gallagher may go off on his political tangents, but I loved going to class everyday. He tries his best to make class interesting and to get everyone to participate. Given the chance, I'd definitely take another one of his classes in a heartbeat.

Pat really wants students to do well. But you need to know what he wants: lots of writing, radical ideas, and pushing his own political agenda. My Spanish improved, as did my political knowledge.

Probably one of the only professors I've had who has stuck by the no-English policy. Great guy, really tries to get you to talk in class. He's extremely approachable and a fair grader. The content in class is easy to understand if you go to class. If I have the chance, I will take him again.

Excellent class! Brilliant teacher. Anyone who gives him a bad rating is a pansy. You are not allowed to use English in class, but it's not an intimidating atmosphere. The immersion triples your comprehension and truly adds to the enjoyment of the class. As long as you study and attempt to participate, he'll be fair with grades. AWESOME professor!

I LOVE Pat! Super nice in & out of class. True, you aren't allowed to speak English but that's b/c he wants you to learn to improvise! Thought-provoking political/social topics. He's very patient & gives you every opportunity to succeed, if you're willing to put in the effort(worth more than perfection). At least ATTEMPT to talk if you want an A/B.

You can't speak a word of english..but in my POV that's a good thing. It's how you learn. He's entertaining and if you don't understand he trys to help clarify with synonyms for words and by drawing pictures on the board :)
