Wonderful class! Love the content, love the lectures, and although there is a good bit of reading---it is interesting and well worth it! Such a nice woman. Always willing to help. Her grading isn't too bad, just wants to see you improve on the final!

By far my favorite teacher this semester. She is so passionate about US history! Most definitely a tough teacher as far as grading, but she will meet you at anytime to go over your rough draft beforehand. I love her class and would recommend it to anyone!!!

Like everyone else said she is clearly as populist, socialist, or in my opinion communist as you can get. I'm a die hard conservative and cant say I wasn't offended in her class, but you'd be hard pressed to find someone who won't around liberal universities. Tough class, read alot, write alot, but despite her flaws a smart adn very helpful lady.

She's nuts. I had her one day as a guest lecturer for my Civil Rights class. She started teaching about the course, which is fine and good, but then she went on a rant about how evil and **** conservatives are. She had some kind of Tourette's where she'd just start bashing Republicans randomly. Even if I was liberal I'd be ashamed of her.

Never, ever admit to being a Republican in her class. Don't try to defend Reagan in her presence either. She's an old-guard socialist, so if you don't like that, beware. Otherwise, nothing wrong.

Her class is VERY tough as far as workload. Lots of novels to read and 3 10-page papers. Ridiculous! The TA saved my life but don't take her class unless there's no alternative.
