Comment:

Professor Romer is a GEM, one of the best psychology professors I ever had. Very understanding, an interesting speaker, makes the class interesting. Discusses child psychology on a personal level. I ran the Psych club, took 4 classes with this one, wasn't ez, make sure you attend. It Was a great experience. Dr. Romer is Amazing.

Prof. Romer is super helpful as a professor. she works with students in order for you to get the most from her class. she is more than willing to answer any questions or if you need guidance on how to excel in your field of study.she is very much in tune with students and the topic of adolescence. In short prof. Romer rocks.

Comment:

I love Professor Nancy Romer because she is very understanding. She makes the class thinks, especially being that many of us were still adolescent or had just came out of that stage. We were able to voice our opinions openly without feeling scared about what others would think. She has a different method of teaching and barely uses the book.

didn't learn not one thing the entire semester that i had her. attendance wasnt really necessary being that you could not come in for four weeks and still not have missed anything. your grade is mostly dependent on a b.s. midterm paper on your life, a paper and a presentation on whatever you want, and a final paper thats nothing.

Really was not happy with this class. She's very openons to students' opinions and is active in her community but honestly....I don't think I've learnt one thing this entire semester. She isn't the greatest teacher, I found her lessons scattered, disorganized and lacking focus. Also, she's a mild anti-Semite and extremly liberal. Dissapointed

Seriously? She's nice sure. Easy grader. But she rants about politics and barely covers the material. She is also vague about assignments and arbitrary in her grading. If you're republican, this class will make your skin crawl. She is super liberal and rants about her beliefs daily. Disagreeing with her is a no-no, it's well known.

Prof. Romer is one of the greatest mentors you'll ever meet! She encourages students to develop their own ideas through their writings which relate to the real world. Working at BCAL has been an unbelievable experience! Romer has dedicated her life to her students and the BCCP program: I encourage everyone to take her class!

Professor Romer is one of the best teacher/mentor/instructor in brooklyn college. Pick BCAL as your site everyone there is wonderful to work with; the director of the site is so dedicated to help everyone learn how become productive.BEST CLASS EVER

Comment:

Professor Romer was one of the best teachers at Brooklyn College. There was never a dull moment in her class. She gives 1 paper and you have to keep a journal, do your work and get an A. As for BCAL it was an experience that I will never forget. The site director Denise is the most thoughtful person I have ever met.This was the best class ever.

The SLYW class with Nancy was great. Interning at Wingate is an experience I'll never forget.This class is great because it doesn't stress homework and textbooks where they're not needed. Our textbooks were class discussions, and our homework was our internships. I walked out of this class with a new maturity and unforgettable life lessons.

This was a class on adolescence and all she talked about was race. All the texts we had to read was on race, and even the videos that we watched. The class was a waste of time and if attendance wasnt mandatory I would have passed with the same A. So if taking her, play with your phone, listen to music... without worrying about failing.

She is a wonderful Professor. Always ready to help, usually available outside the classroom. She gives three term papers and a take home final exam, no Midterm exam. Final is very easy. I will suggest the students to take this Professor. If students really work hard in pay attention in the class, A+ OR A is confirmed.
