Comment:
Professor Miller sure is passionate about the subject. We have good discussions about the literature. This class talks about Medieval France, so you really get to know his views on religion... He rarely posts the powerpoints, so make sure you read the historical context in the book because it will be on the tests.

I don't think I'd enjoy this class if I didn't have a prof who was as passionate and excited about the material as Prof Miller is. The syllabus has a lot on it, but he ends up spending a lot of time on certain things so it isn't as tough assignment-wise. The readings and the movies are quite interesting, especially when he points out the cool stuff

Comment:
Professor Miller makes antiquated French literature seem interesting. He mixes up his teaching style in class, whether it's by incorporating YouTube videos or by bringing in his guitar (which is awesome!). Extremely easygoing, but sometimes a tad unclear on his expectations. There is either a lot of homework or hardly any. He is a fair grader.

Great, enthusiastic professor. Not too much work, sporadic page long assignments, one long final paper, several quizzes and 1 full length test. Assigns reading but you can get by if you miss the occasional chapter. If you go to class you'll get a good grade

He is a very clear and good lecturer. He keeps things interesting. Overall, there isn't too much work in the class besides the reading, which isn't too long usually. We just had 2 papers, a presentation, and the final. He is a pretty reasonable grader, but it does take him a while to return assignments. Take him if you can.

Definitely an awesome prof. Speaks slower than most other profs, which is SERIOUSLY helpful as far as improving listening skills goes! I can understand everything he says! Helpful outside of class, involved in university life. Brilliant and insightful!

Paul is one hell of a teacher. I've never met a student who didn't like him. Great lecturer and loves to help out outside of class. Plays bball at the rec. really easy to talk to and is a great (easy) grader. Every spanish student should take him.
