Comment:

Very passionate, very intense and very fair. He is sorta 'mean', but I believe that is because of his passion for the subject and life. Very interesting guy. His class was simple, read before class and participate in class. The tests were simple as well, just keep up with the readings and display basic writing skills.

Mr. Alegi was rude and very conceited in his own views. I believe that he used his class to express his views in politics instead of expressing his passion for history. I didn't learn what I wanted to learn and was supposed to learn for the inconsideration of his little soapbox.

My only problem I had with him as a history teacher was that he was a bit biased on the subject matter. They way he presented things only came from one side of the story. Sure, that's how most history corses go but he simmed a bit out of balance for me.

I was a history major and he made me reevaluate that, and I decided not to go into history for fear of ever having him again he is a real mean cold hearted person and he should not be alound to teach dogs tricks

Dr. Alegi is an excellent teacher, it is a shame he is leaving EKU. There was a lot of reading in his class, but what do you expect? He is tough, but fair. Do the reading, do the work, participate in class, you will do well with him.

Alegi is easy if you are intelligent, write well, and know how to write essays. He has been accused of being too "cold", and that is true -- He's a professional who tries to keep a distance between himself and the students. Good and bad, depending how you look at it. He left EKU in 2005.

I really liked Dr. Alegi's class. I didn't find it really hard, but I actually do better with essay exams than I do with multiple choice. The essays could be considered hard, but you never actually write them during class. You always take them home and then turn in.

Dr. Alegi expects a lot from his students in the form of reading and writing critical thinking essays. His 'pop quizzes' are group assignments that are sometimes difficult. Tests are 4+ page essays written over books you read for the class. Read the book, pass the test... that easy.
