Jones is a funny and enertaining guy, but doesn't really help you with the essays. He says that he'll go over the texts in the beginning of class, but seems to veer off topic a lot. He's the type of guy that makes you feel comfortable to talk in front of class and he loves students that do.

Great guy. He's not going to go through your essay and spoon fed you, you need to come to him with legitimate questions .You have to write it yourself. Don't solely rely on his analysis of the text, you are expected to think critically. Go to the writing center and get your essays done before the final due date so that you can see him.

He doesn't help much or talk about the books/material much. He may have wrote on the board twice the whole semester. He doesn't use worksheets, and doesn't help discuss the essay questions much. Unfair grader, also very hard to sit in the same room with for long.

great teacher to have in the morning if you had to have a teacher in the am. he is very funny and corny but definitely gets down to work. very helpful with papers (4 papers btw) and he understands the student prospective. he has dreadlocks!!! he is pretty awesome :)

The funniest guy you will ever meet. Very down to earth, and keeps the subject interesting. Gives easy extra credit assignments like attending speeches on campus by authors. Make sure you do the readings which are usually short. He loves class discussion and participation. Makes you feel comfortable to voice your opinion. TAKE HIM! Great Professor

Highly recommend him for Public Speaking. He does not intimidate you like other professors would and is a really fair grader. He likes to have class discussions and make it a fun class. Very laid back and i really enjoyed having him as a teacher.

i had him for poetry workshop.. his new jersey slur made him difficult to understand, but that is really the only complaint i can make. hilarious, fun, and he loves the subject matter. for once, i actually felt like i had a teacher who wanted me to learn.. this class was resfreshing.

Quincy is a great teacher. He's funny, laid back, and open to feedback. I highly recommend him. However, don't look for a cakewalk just because it's a film class. He expects a lot from the papers you turn in. Great syllabus of films as well.

Interesting class, especially considering I had no idea what I had signed up for the first day I walked in. While actually reading the texts technically is not required, class is more interesting, as a discussion is able to take place, if people read the things. Though, it is admitedly a good deal of reading.

Very fun and entertaining guy. Can be really goofy, in an awesome way. Readings were interesting. Wish class would have engaged more to make it even better- no penalty for not reading. He's hard to understand sometimes, but still a magical person...I'm convinced he's some sort of magician...

Jones is a great teacher. I didn't fall asleep in his class once and it was pretty early. He grades pretty hard, but he also works very hard to help you improve your paper. He puts a lot of thought into his grades and comments.

Jones has a lot of great feedback and his class is run like a community/family, which is helpful (especially in a creative writing class). He won't let you get away with doing no work, and you will learn a lot from him (even if it's only about yourself.) Love, love, love this professor.

Mr. Jones demands alot from his students on their papers. Please believe me, if he gives you a B+ instead of an A-, then he is right, you are wrong. If you can get an B+ in his class then you will do very well in IH 51...hang in there...revise if needed
