Comment:

You'll have to do your work - do the online readings and do the response papers ahead of time. Lazda is the best teacher I have had. I've taken 4 classes with her and she has influenced my future career significantly. She is great at teaching German without making you feel silly or stupid, and her passion for her subject and students is immense.

Comment:

Dr. Lazda is by far my favorite teacher at Alabama. She loves teaching & gets so excited every class which makes history a lot more appealing to someone who hates history. She is a very easy grader as long as you put forth effort & takes into account your individual level of German. She loves when you interact in class. 10/10 would take again!!

Comment:

Simply put, Dr. Lazda is a gem. Her class is a veritable smorgasbord of interesting information, class discussion, writing practice, and a craft project. She's a total delight. Hilarious. Inspiring. Passionate. There are neither enough good words to describe her nor high enough numbers to rate her.

Awesome professor. I took this class during the summer so it was accelerated and probably harder than it usually is. There was a lot of homework and some of it was unclear, but she was always understanding and explained everything if we asked. My class also had only 7 people, so be aware that it could be different with a larger class.

Comment:

Dr. Lazda is the nicest woman you have ever met, and one of the most enthusiastic. This is not a difficult class to do well in, but Dr. Lazda did frustrate me a lot. She is so perky that she does not understand that we are not 100% happy and eager all the time. Sometimes assigns needless projects and calls out your mistakes in front of the class.

Dr. Lazda is fantastic, the best German professor at UA. She makes class interesting, is super sweet & is full of positive energy. She's experienced in what she teaches, very helpful, always available & values her students. She interacts with you like she has known you forever! Take whatever class she teaches, you won't regret it!
