He is very knowledgeable about the topics he discusses. His class is relatively easy. Tests are difficult because they rely solely on the book and his lectures don't always follow the book. Very little homework. Weekly blog posts.

Literally the WORST teacher I have ever had. I was considering staying at Jewell for one more semester but after taking his class I cannot wait to start at my new school in the Fall. AVOID THIS TEACHER!

Prof. Owens is nice and helpful. He understands that students have other classes, not just his, so he's very understanding of your additional work load. He's thoughtful when it comes time to scheduling the tests and always gives plenty of time to prepare. His tests are kind of hard, make sure you READ the book!!!!

Such an unhelpful, unhappy man. The school has chrisitan roots, but that doesn't give him the right to subject the students who are not Christian to his prayers (which, by the way, probably make God sleepy). He should give those students who don't wish to participate the option of leaving. He doesn't teach, you learn it all from the book.

His tolerance for other view points is zero; the class should be called "intro to theology" rather than "intro to psychology." The book does the work; go to class for the participation points and keep your mouth shut. He isn't a teacher at all. Godly? Hardly.
