Comment:

This was the worst class I have ever taken. He was unclear, his notes were useless, uses overheads and puts up a slide every 20 seconds. BBL site is a mess, he gives study questions that weren't in the lecture. There are 10 papers to read for every lecture. He either wouldn't notice the class was there or cuss someone out for using a phone.

Dr. Brown is the bomb dot com. His lectures can be a little long sometimes, but he is hilarious and a great professor. he makes material interesting and usually adds some fun side information. His tests aren't giveaways, but they are fair, and never tricky or surprising. love this guy.

Don't let anyone scare you away from this class - it is extremely worth your time and effort. Dr. Brown is an unreal prof who always finds a way to make the driest material funny. The class is more work than most, but it helps you keep on top of it. Short answer exams helped a lot. It is NOT that hard if you fully apply yourself, so be confident!

Awesome professor. Richard makes dry material interesting. Great sense of humour. No problem staying awake during his class in the early AM. There is a lot of material to cover for this class. Exams can be difficult but fair if you study the material. Exams arent cumulative which is a bonus!

Won't lie, the material was tough, but if you studied hard enough, the tests were completly fair. Great professor who was always availible to help. If interested in physiology, the course was extremly interesting. Take it, you won't be sorry!

This gy is a genius. He writes his own book, does lectures at Ivy League schools, is working endlessly on some sort of thing, is ALWAYS travelling. He is, without a doubt, the BEST professor I have ever had at Dal! He really cares about his students....he has a ton of things to do and yet he gives priority to his students.

Very personable guy who cracks dirty jokes about the material. Testing is straightforward, and the review questions at the beginning of every class ensure that you know your stuff. You have to work to do well in his class - but regardless, he's a hilarious guy and a great person.

Richard is a great teacher. Not only does he know the material, but he is very engaging, amusing, and easy to talk to. He seems to really enjoy teaching, but if you don't want to learn anything, then don't expect to enjoy his courses.
