His class is like watching paint dry. Nice Fellow, but if you want to sit in a class that feels like you sitting in a classroom representing limbo then be my guest. Lastly, for an elective, I had to do more work for his class then what I do for a single course in my major.

I had the pleasure of being in Professor Levy's Asian Politics and Governance class about 20+ years ago at Salem State. I found the class to be extremely well organized and very informative. Professor Levy gives tremendously interesting lectures and is very approachable if you have questions on tbe material. Tough class but definitely worth it.

I took numerous courses with Professor Levy during my years at Salem State. He is one of the most fair and approachable professors I have ever had. He legitimately cares about his students and their progress, if they put in a good faith effort in their studies. I whole heartedly believe he prepared me for more than just life after undergrad.

This class is like watching paint dry. Everyone drifts off and get lost within the first few minutes. I highly suggest looking for another teacher. He's a nice guy but most boring professor I've ever had. Not to mention he doesn't give notes and just writes random non helpful words on the board. Once it's time for the papers and final good luck.

He sprung a group project, worth 5 points on our total grade, on us the week that it was due. The classes are extremely boring and the books are very necessary for the class.

Rich has always been one of the most involved professors of my career and usually has some insight to help you. He doesn't sugar coat anything, which is always quite welcome. If you put in the work and are not the worst at putting your brain on the paper, you will do well. But it's quite a bit of work.

Suppose to be a 101 but did not feel like it at all. Debates in groups for certain topics, debate papers were difficult, attendance is mandatory sometimes. He sometimes taught like everyone knew the basics of political science. MidtermFinal is a take home and it was extremely long and hard. Read, go to class, take notes, partipcatr & you'll pass.

He treated this class as if I had taken political science a million times before. Not an easy class AT ALL and it was a 101. Not happy. Assignments an debates were VERY difficult.

I have taken Levy twice and I just love hearing him speak! He always has something interesting to ask, forcing students to think independently on the subject matter. Class is incredible; consists of class discussion and that's it. Best professor I have ever had the pleasure of learning from.

Awesome teacher, great class.... POL359 is called "Terrorism and Homeland Security", but don't expect to learn anti-terrorist tactics or anything like that. The class is about the meaning of the term terrorism and how it is used by governments as well as terrorist groups. He's not an extremist, just shows you both sides, that's all.

Rich Levy is an outstanding professor. The work is challenging and the exams are hard but you don't walk out of his class feeling cheated. I took two of his classes (Vietnam and Chinese Gov't) and would take anything the guy teaches. He encourages differing opinions and never discourages anyone's political beliefs.

He gives out a lot of work, but it's never pointless and it always helps you learn about the actual material. Yeah, he's very liberal, but so are most associated with colleges. If it bothers you, lighten up.
