Would no recommend this class unless you are really into political science otherwise the class is painfully slow and dry. Lots of reading and writing on top of the homework and exams also gives out 2-3 page writing chapter reflections every week.

Prof Kani is the man. Anyone who tells you otherwise doesn't want to put in the work. His 2 page papers can get a little annoying at times, but he means well and he wants his students to succeed. I would definitely recommend him.

Professor Sathasivam is an incredibly nice person, but he is a terrible professor. Only take his classes if you like a mixture of tediousness, combined with Americentric viewpoints. If not, stay away!

If your are interested in getting a job working for international organization take Khani's international governance class. He is a expert on the UN and will prepare you for this career path. I have learned so much from him and his credentials are great. He mentioned in his class that he has discussed foreign policy with George Bush. NBD.

This class can feel very dry, the professor addresses this. Its a lot of material but it is all helpful in the long run. The assignments get easier and he gives you plenty of time to complete them all. Do the readings, they will help you will the discussion in class. Not a bad teacher just hard material.

The most boring class/ teacher I have ever had. I am an honor student and I can honestly say this was the hardest class to stay focus in. His class is dull, and there is not any type of motivation to attend it. If you can take this class with another professor I would.

I would not have read as much or gained as much from the class if the twice-weekly, 2 pg. min. reading responses weren't mandatory. He's a very open-minded, knowledgeable prof and he encourages questions and discussion. I became so interested in the subject that I am seriously considering double majoring in Poli Sci. He's also the head of the dept.

He has an accent but does well to pronounce things to your understanding. Hes pretty boring. I hate the topic, so that doesn't help. My friend is a poli sci minor and he can't even stand this guy. I suggest staying away from his class. He makes you write a 2pg analysis on a chapter once a week, 4 papers and 4 HW assignments. Lotssssssss of writing!

Dr. Kani is a very knowledgeable scholar with a great sense of humor. Overall, he challenges students to think critically and discipline their work ethic to further their own interests. He has a good teaching approach; I had so much fun in his classes. I highly recommend him--- Amazing Professor loved him?

Dr. Kani is highly intelligent in his field of international politics; and I?m surprise that he is not teaching at Harvard University? He has a great deal of passion and energy toward his field, which keeps students interested and curious about the subject matter. i have mixed feelings. all of the other comments about this guy are praising him for being conservative, but all he provides for political theory are conservative megaphones. He failed to provide one central or left leaning writer to engage our interest.
