Comment:

Fun teacher! Follow her guidelines and outlines and the class should be an easy A. Attend class regularly or else she will drop you without notice. A stickler for people who are late to class. She tends to have a very strong opinion of what she likes to hear for speeches... just follow her lead if you want an A. Accessible outside class!

She is very kind and funny. All of her assignments are online and very easy and quick to do. You just read the sections and write golden lines and responses. As long as you don't skip class or be late, she will love you. A very easy, but fun class to take.

I received a B in this class but overall did not like the teacher. Maybe shes a better on campus instructor but online is too challenging for her or something. Got an unfair grade on my final project and she didn even bother to tell me why even when I emailed her twice asking her to explain my grade. Kind of ironic for a communication teacher.

Rita is a great professor. She can be a little much at times, but she made the class very enjoyable. I was pretty nervous about taking a speech class, but she made it easy for us to all connect together as one class. I don't like group projects, and this class is full of them, but in the end, I see why they were necessary.

Decent choice. It is kind of a pointless class that is filled with busy work and stories about her life. Sadly she grades on attendance so you are forced to go if you want the highest grade possible. But it is an easy A, so it weighs out. Just one group speech that has to be 40 mins.

Rita talks about herself and her life a lot. She is very picky in what she wants. Make sure to meet with her so she can revise your speeches before you present. Attendance is mandatory. She will create assignments that day just because people don't show up. If I would have showed up for the 2 days I missed I could have gotten an A.

Solid professor with depth of knowledge on interpersonal communication. Cares about the dynamics of the class so be prepared to participate. Several group projects, 2 essays and weekly reading homework assignments.

Rita was no professor like I have ever had. She is straight forward with what she thinks and very open about her life. However, she is funny. She gives homework every week from the book, but not hard. And since it is interpersonal comm., get ready to do a lot of group projects. I really enjoyed her class, I recommend to take her.

YOU HAVE TO WRITE ALL YOUR SPEECHES AND SHE KNIT PICKS THEM A LOT. SHE DOES PROVIDE A EASY OUTLINE FOR EACH SPEECH. JUST COPY IT AND MAKE IT YOUR OWN. DOES GO OFF TOPIC ON A LOT OF UNNECESSARY THINGS BUT SHES FUNNY. KINDA WASTES VALUABLE TIME SOMETIMES.

She's a really good teacher, don't get me wrong. But if I had a chance to drop her, I would. She's doesn't understand that people have priorities and always says her class "transfers to Harvard" as a way to make her seem above all. Definitely will not be taking another class of her's.

Sometimes helpful and some not. Likes to hear herself talk so trying to assert your opinion would be hard. Gives VERY vague feedback. You thought you followed the rubric, but she'll take points off for something else. Basically, you'll be teaching yourself how to give a speech with bits of advice.

Although she talks a lot about pugs, she is a very good prof! There is no homework except for the outlines, which she gives good feedback on. She is very straight forward and tells you exactly what she expects out of your speeches and is lenient on the grading. Easy A and recommend taking her class!

Very straight forward class, she's very funny and would take this class again. Easy A or B just do your homework and you'll be find. She is straight up if she don't like your work. She doesn't not lecture long or give quizzes. Not a lot of homework. Participation matters. She gives one extra credit opportunity. You'll need the book for homework.

She comes off as nice and caring in the beginning of the class, but then later towards the middle of the semester she start becoming very mean and has huge expectations. She grades super-biased and if she doesn't like you then your going to get graded poorly. I strongly recommend not taking her unless it's the only speech teacher left.

I enjoyed the class. Do all the work and you should get an A. She has a rude sense of humor at times, but she does care about her students and expects all to be prepared. The speeches aren't too hard as long as you follow all directions. I highly recommend!

ALWAYS AND I MEAN ALWAYS SHOW UP TO CLASS! Rita is a tough grader but as long as you follow her instructions you'll pass. She gives amazing feed back which helps a lot. As long as you show confidence in your speeches, make eye contact, and are funny you're on you're way to an A.

She's super nice and really funny. Her lectures are alright, but she definitely knows what she's talking about. She doesn't like when people are late and attendance is mandatory in order to pass the class. There is A LOT of group work, so be ready to talk to EVERYONE in the class!

DONT EVER MISS CLASS NOR BE LATE, YOUR GRADE WILL SUFFER! That being said, Rita's class is super easy. She gives you a sample outline that she wants your outline to look like.. Simple as that. Easy class, speeches aren't as bad as you'd think. I can't stress enough tho: be in class because she counts attendance as a huge part of your final grade.
