Comment:

There is definitely bias when it comes to grading. You can literally have the same answer as the person next to you but if you don't participate at all he will definitely give you a lower grade. A lot of writing assignments. Answers for his quizzes are online. If I had to choose the worst professors I've had all my 4 years, Narloch would be one.

Comment:

Rodger is my favorite professor at CSBSJU! I took him for both PYSC 360 & ETHS 390 and really enjoyed both of the classes. While there are quite a few papers, there were never any tests, which really fit my learning style. The papers really help you to develop a better understanding of the course subject & he is so willing to answer any questions!

Would not take him again. His class was all busy work. Had a paper due every single week. His service learning incorporated in this class is the biggest waste of time. If you can take a different professor, do it. You won't regret it.

Comment:

Passionate about what he teaches, but he is an irrationally tough grader. Almost all of his annotations on the many papers are words like "why", "explain" or "expand" and he even writes these when you've covered something ad nauseam. He even tries to grade you in small group discussion, which is ridiculous because he isn't there for the whole time.

Intro to Psych was super easy for me with Rodger. He's a super chill guy and gives very minimal homework and tests. Very clear and straight forward.

I would say his teaching style is pretty strict because he expects you to know many things he's covered in his lecture and some things that he doesn't cover buy appears in the textbook, which means his tests aren't easy. He's definitely a great professor. You can ask all the questions you have on class. He'll try to answer each of them.

Rodger is a GREAT prof. Super clear, precise, and extremely helpful and he really knows what he's talking about. Work load is heavy, but you learn a lot in the process and you're able to get any missed points back, plus he literally gives you all of the answers on his exams during lecture. So just show up for class and study and you'll do fine.

I took Rodger's class when he was at UNL, and this man is the reason I am a psychologist today. He made statistics managable and (gasp!) enjoyable. I am glad to see he is still making such a positive impact. Consider yourself very lucky if you have the good fortune to have Rodger as a prof!!

Rodger is my favorite professor that I have had! He provideds students with study questions for each chapter, and his tests come right from those questions. He also provides you with optional essay questions and one of the questions will be used on the test! Overall, he is a great guy who is always willing to help students!

Roger is an amazing teacher and a very good adviser for Psyc majors.I've never seen a teacher so committed to their job.Tests are always returned at the next class.His class has a lot of work, but it is well related to real life and very easy.I recommend Roger over any other teacher I've ever had.

Learned the most of any class I've ever taken. Large work load, but it's worth it. Started at 8:30, not 8, let's you redo assignments and tests. Very clear and organized.
