His instructions were AWFUL! I was already having a hard time with MS Access, but his instructions on what the specific assignment was impossible to understand. And what he expects at the end of it. I turned in my HTML assignment and he docked me two points because he said i didn't validate my final copy. How is that even possible?!

Very vague assignment criteria, poor structure in assignment, and docks points for minor infractions. Doesn't respond to email, and if he does, it usually comes down to "What are you talking about?" Since his assignments are hard to understand to begin with, you can imagine how confusing the assignment can get. Avoid this class.

Comment:

Prof. Christensen violates the trust between students and teachers daily. He has no interest in your success, and is quite literally in it for the paycheck. The "textbook" is an amalgamation of things he's found online over the years. Assignments are unclear and grading criteria is never shared ahead of time. Avoid his classes.

Teacher completely mailed it in. Labs were vague. His attitude when asking for clarification was dismissive. No textbook was required. The reading material was dated and misleading. When I posted a complaint in the forum, he deleted it and threatened to block any future posts from me.

Outdated material, difficult to follow instructions, and the guys formatting on his class site is so terrible, you can't clearly follow what is be asked of you. Lots of links to random articles that you aren't sure what to focus on, or what it has to do with the lesson. Also, don't question him, otherwise he stops responding to your emails.

I agree entirely with the comments below. This class was unnecessarily confusing (even when I knew the concepts backwards and forwards the assignment instructions were still confusing), Ron blames everyone else for problems with the content, and much of the material was outdated. Definitely not worth anyone's time or money.

This class was extremely frustrating with Ron as the instructor. The work should not be that hard but he makes it out to be with unclear instructions and expectations. When students ask questions, he cops an attitude, blames them for their problems, and offers no help with fixing the problems. Nitpicky grader. Would not recommend.

Ron is a good teacher and I enjoyed his class. Go to class and not online. It is vital to understanding the material given since there is no book. If you ask for feedback before turning it in he will give clues to where you made your mistakes before grading.

Very poor online instructor. Blamed students when many questions were asked, then the text was re-written while the class was in session to fix the large number of errors. Would change his instructions without notice or changing the revision date. Won't read email. Bad attitude, too volatile. Don't take a class from him!

His real world technical knowledge is about 10 years behind, and he's clueless. It's an easy class, but his testing process is ridiculous. He asks questions that aren't in the sections we covered and have nothing to do with real world I.T. knowledge. If you ask him questions he gets easily sidetracked and angry. He gives PCC a bad name. AVOID!

I took this class in spring 2012, I have more then basic computer knowledge. The class materials were not hard. Although, the professor is very controlling in his class. He gets easily sidetrack and when you ask him a question he doesn't know he makes something up. He's very volatile when it comes to his mood in class.I DO NOT RECOMMENDED HIM.

This is a great instructor. I took him for CIS 121, a recommendation from my CIS 120, and enjoyed his class. It is good to be there as much as possible and he is workable on late work. A good choice for any CIS class!!

I thought he was great. A lot of the homework is gone over in class, so if you're unfamiliar with the material he shows you how to do everything. Really nice, but is a stricter grader than you might expect initially. He was helpful, understanding, and taught with humor. Overall, I highly recommend him.

Horrible instructor. Just Does all the homework in class and lets everyone think that it was all easy. He has really bad website to access because he made it himself thinking that he is smarter than other instructors. Talks about his precious Nike everyday and gets really anoying. Harsh grader and will penalize you for everything. Dont take him!!!
