he's an easy teacher. in class, i was able to pick up what he was teaching. however, it's hard to contact him. he doesn't have an email nor office nor a number to reach him. then to top it off, when it's a person turn to give his/her paper to the teacher, he tells him/her what needs to be fix and send him/her back to her/his seat. he doesn't help!

This professor might be rude and he may like to humiliate students, but I have learned a lot from him. I know he looks scary, but he has a sense of humor. The one to one sessions helped me. He really forces you to look at your mistakes, not to make you feel stupid, but to show you what you need to work on.

All you have to do is have a semi clear grasp on the english language and you'll pass. If you think he's hard, just wait until you get a transferable level class. The people that can't pass this class are either unmotivated or non english speakers. He can be mean sometimes but wouldn't you after reading hundreds of boring, crappy essays?

Easiest teacher ever! He even encourages you to write simple sentences! Fun essay topics like, "what are ou afraid of", What do you want to be", "3 things you dislike in a friend", etc. etc. Take him! easy A! He does not look like that in that picture! He may look like he wants to murder someone, but he is pretty cool! the work is like elementary!

I dont think hes mean at all but he does help you sometimes. It think that it is very easy to get an A in the class if you do all the assignments and dont procrastinate. He does not really grade hard. As long as you do all the assignments ahead of time, then you can easily ACE the class. TAKE him :)

CLASS - EASY. STARTS OFF WITH ONE PARAGRAPH ASSIGNMENTS. MOVES ONTO 5 PARAGRAPH ESSAYS (MIN OF 20 SENTENCES) - WHAT GETS BETTER THAN THAT. NOT THAT HARD OF A GRADER, JUST PAY ATTENTION TO GRAMMAR LECTURES. I FEEL THAT IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND HIS CLASS, YOU ARE INCAPABLE OF LIFE. Those who say Lanyi didn't teach, well, that's where you are wrong. His lectures are understandable, and if you don't understand something, then ASK! He will answer your questions. Seems mean, but not a really hard class. Grades are based on points. Does one on one with each writing assignment. Gives u 3 tries to get all points on an assignment. I got enough points for an A and I didn't have to do my last essay, or the final in class essay.

Professor Lanyi was a pretty rude but easy teacher. He gave us a speech on the second day of class on how most PCC students are doomed to fail, that was why most of his students doesn't pass his classes. He was right. The first day we had 40 people; the last week we had 17. At the midterm, there were 6 people who were failing out of 20. I got an A.
