I took his class a while ago. He urged me into taking certifications which have been extremely useful for my career improvement. He is truly dedicated/passionate to help his students SUCCEED in the long term, using very effective methods. He is going to be missed since the college is slated to close. Thank you so very much, Professor Lau!

His lectures on Subnetting and Wireshark make us finally understand the relationship between binary, decimal and hexadecimal and how packets actually travel in the networks. He pioneered CompTIA exam preparations at TCI. He will be missed since the college is slated to close. He is one of the most fantastic/dedicated/loved professors.

We loved his class. This class predicted the driverless car service. In August 2016 both nuTonomy of Singapore and Uber of Pittsburgh both started the same service. This is a forward-looking course that no textbooks are required, because textbooks only report past creations. If you want to be ahead of the curve, join this course, by all means.

EIT120 is Emerging Technologies; it is my best learning experience at TCI. No textbook. You are trained to seek new knowledge, to forge to the new frontiers; you also know you will not survive in the future, if you don't! The economic future of USA is latched onto raging emerging technologies: driverless cars, robotics, Hololens, nanotechnology...

Rated outstanding by his peers and students, Mr. Lau represents one of the best you can get from a professor at this college. He spends an extra hour in the lab for this Digital Logic class every week, he gives extra help. He is instructional, knowledgeable, motivational & caring. Many students are eager shaking his hand and greeting him.

Hybrid-online class, 50% classroom, 50% research. Minimum textbook. We were educated/inspired by Emerging Technologies, challenges and opportunities. We visited/attended seminars/conferences/great locations like Con Edison/IEEE/Apple/Columbia University Astronomy/Javits Convention Center. Real college education; highly recommended.

This is a hybrid Project Management Class. 50% of the classes are online. Very few people know that the certification of CAPM/PMP earns some of the very top dollars. In the field, getting things done on time, within budget, and with the quality intended is a must. And, that is exactly what Mr. Lau teaches well in practice and theory.

He is one of the instructors who has repeatedly succeeded in helping students passing the certification exams. You can talk with his certified students in person, semester after semester. You must have the textbook to be in his class. You can become certified TOO if you are committed and are focused and serious.

With this emerging technologies class, Mr. Lau took us to Apple for the newest products/seminars, brought in a speaker from Con Ed on Smart Grid technologies, and delivered us out of this world, to Mars to have a lecture/tour of Honeybee Robotics understanding the pioneering devices to find water in the red planet, plus a lot more. Bravo!

The Super-storm Sandy reminds me of EIT120, Emerging Technologies, I took with Mr. Lau, especially about global warming and renewable energies. He inspires and has a forward-looking approach in teaching. He's very knowledgeable in energy, IT, robotics, etc. Now, I am strongly motivated to seek new knowledge, skills and trends on my own.
