Comment:

Take Dr. Suresh! He is precious and truly wants his students to succeed. He is available in his office anytime and his gives study questions (that are the exact questions on the test) for every test. He makes the information very interesting even if you're not an EES major. Great professor!

Dr. Suresh is a great teacher and his passion really shows. He posts his PowerPoints online (which is where most of the test questions are from) and emphasizes important concepts. Easy class but pretty interesting at the same time!

He started the semester rather easy on the grading, but for some reason got more difficult throughout the semester. He is also a poor instructor, not to say he doesn't know his subject but getting it across comes difficult to him. I would recommend taking EES 112, just maybe with someone else.

Personally, I had a good semester with Dr. Suresh. I think that many of these reviews are unfairly harsh. He was more than willing to meet with whenever I needed help, and he is incredibly passionate about the topic. It is imperative that you read the articles he assigns, but if you do this, you will succeed in the class.

I actually really enjoyed Dr. Suresh, despite previous reviews. He is very eager to help, and is passionate about what he teaches. The lab is kinda extensive, but it is required for all science lab classes (obviously). He is a really sweet man. If you have the opportunity to take this class, DO IT! Save yourself from the nightmare of chem or bio.

Words cannot describe how much of a nightmare this class is. He gives you no study guide and never answers your questions directly. Studying for his tests is a nightmare. You're basically going blind into the night. He almost refuses to help you with anything. Most absurd class I have ever taken at Furman. Avoid him at all costs.

DO NOT TAKE DR.SURESH. I promise, you will regret it. Yes, he is a sweet man... but don't let that fool you! He will tell you something is on the test... and it is not. Then he will tell you something is not on the test... and it is! So frustrating.

He let us out of class late almost every day which made it difficult to get to my next class. His tests were difficult and I never seemed to test us on things he emphasized in class. He would test us on things he told us we didn't need to know and not test us on things he said to know. I was incredibly frustrated by this class.

This class was very interesting, but sometimes he would tell us wrong information and expect us to know the correct information on the test and would mark it wrong it you put what he actually said. Labs were cancelled often, but the ones we had were very educational.

Even though this class was extremely difficult, what an eye-opening class! I will confess that I had fun on the required field trips and it was just interesting to see how humans have an impact on your world. I would recommend this class to a major or nonmajor. Get prepared to study all the time though as the tests are NASTY.

a great guy, his lectures are straight forward and he uses many pictures to help visualize the point. test are usually short answer and a few multiple choice but u definitly have to study. the reading it rather interesting and easy to understand though

Funny guy to joke around with, lectures are easy-to-follow power points. Test questions come out of nowhere though, but he curves so don't worry too much. Beware the group project. Study the book and know it like the back of your hand.

Really nice guy, but gives EVIL tests. Labs are fun--lots of hiking in the mountains! I would agree with the earlier person who said "run for your life!"
