A LOT OF READING!!!!! Get ready for a lot of papers per book, kind of gets a little tiring, but she is easy, great, will help you, and is friendly. Tests are easy, and you will learn a great wide of different culture of books!

I hated her! She made the class horrible and she is the only one who teaches it. The content of the class was very interesting but she treated us like we had ever picked up and book in our life and even called my class "brain dead" She is a very rude lady who should just retire because she is bitter about life!

I found Dr. Knell very informed in the area of children's lit. She has a wealth of knowledge and is eager to share with her students. Her class was one of my favorites. I contacted her a year after I graduated with some questions and she was very helpful.

If you're on her good side then great, if not this class is a living hell. boring. information could have been covered in a month. not a understanding woman. i always got the vibe she thought her idea's and books were better than everyone else.

I felt like the course content could have been covered in a total of 3-4 weeks. The class kind of dragged on and on but Dr. Knell knew so much about the material. She was always very well prepared and knew what she was talking about. She does have lots and lots of book titles for when you make your own classroom library!
