Overall just don't. Don't do it. Save yourself. This class had me staying in Friday and Saturday's writing essay's. He is a really, super nice person, but the classwork is just so overwhelming.

He was very nice! You read everyday. you also had pop quizzes, so be ready for those. Sometimes didn't have class because you watched a movie. Good class altogether.

Overall, hes a great guy and cares about the students. The papers are quite difficult, however, he is clear about what he expects and allows a rewrite on the first paper. Great class, lots of reading. Good notes are important for pop quizzes. NO TESTS

Prof Larkin tries to be funny and make his class interesting but it is a lot of reading and lecture. If you are wanting a class that is up beat then I souldn't suggest this class.

He is a tough grader on papers, allows you to make corrections on first paper. No tests. Allows you to use hand-written notes on quizzes. About a month and a half into the class he asks for feedback from the class and makes changes according to student requests.

I really liked the class. He was willing to change what was not working for the students and he always was there when you had questions. The papers were slightly challenging; however, the questions that we had to write about were fairly easy. He was a nice guy and in my Latin American Experience class there were NO TESTS!! and only 3 papers

Great teacher, learned a lot from his class. I strongly recomend taking him if you are intrested in Latin American history.Close to no busy work. Grade is based mostly on participation and 3 medium length papers. He is a tough grader but fair. Many in class discussions so be prepared to talk!

This is a good class, the readings are interesting for the most part. I already knew all the material so the class kinda got boring at some point, but he is a good prof and knows what he is talking about. I recommend taking him, he doesnt give any tests just 3 papers which are a lil tough but thats the only thing you have to do, and lots of reading

I LOVED this class (Latin American Exp.) and he is so helpful. I recommend this guy for sure, he's funny too if you understand his humor. Thumbs up!
