This professor never gets back to you as a student, and seems to not care about your individual grade. He was impossible to get ahold of, and his class was boring and long. He tried to make dry jokes, but came across as rude.

Comment:

Really naturally friendly guy, makes the material re-memorable for the test by forming them into jokes. He is clearly passionate about what he teaches and makes the class a pleasure to attend. You can easily pass this class by taking notes, book isn't required. My only complaint is he NEVER answers his email, so catch him before or after class!

Well put together lectures, always going over notes so it gets stuck in your head. Very passionate about his work. Tries to crack jokes in his lecture can be a funny guy. Gives you test for grades. As long as you study you pass with at least a B. You don't do well it's because you must of been screwing around. I have seen this in his class.

Great man. Very helpful and tries his best to make sure everyone understands the material. The material isn't hard to begin with. it is very straightforward. He loves what he does and that shows in his lectures. He has a sense of humor and the tests are not difficult. I didn't even buy the book and still got an A. Would definitely take again.

Very knowledgeable in geology. Has a goofy sense of humor. His 3 hour class was usually 2. Only assignments are the tests. He can put some weird things on tests. He made us buy a 120$ book we never opened. And an 90$ lab manual we used 5 times.

This prof. is awesome. He tries really hard to be funny and connect with his students on a human-to-human level. He knows his stuff and is willing to help everyone. Had him for a night class and I could actually stand him for 3 hours. Very nice man.

He is very funny. He's a good lecturer and teacher, he outright says what will be on the tests. He's got a fair amount of professional experience in the field, which helps a lot. He does occasionally make remarks about people's testing habits but they're lighthearted. He's apparently a sci-fi fan, judging from the references on tests and pics.

Really nice but if you have a question about the material he says it will be gone over in class. Likes to make dry jokes and gets the class laughing. You are completely on you own with the learning. Must memorize and get the concept of what you are reading for all 20 chapters!

You have to memorize alot of rocks & the names.Tests are very tough. Read the book! He is a knowledgeable teacher. He can be rude. When my fiance asked a question about his test grade, Guensburg told him in front of other students that he needs to work on spelling(my fiance is dyslexic by the way) & that he needs to change his study habits

This class was a blast! He is a very straightforward teacher. He does not try to trick you at all. He is a very smart guy and I would definitely reccomend this class. His jokes are a little stale, but they still get everyone laughing (because they're so lame...)

He is a very good teacher. He makes jokes. Yeah, they are a little cheesy but at least he tries. He has been all over the world with pictures of rocks, mountains, glaciers, etc. that he has first hand experience in seeing. Labs are busy work but if you show up its an easy 15% of your grade. Take notes and show up for labs. It is an easy class.

Very nice man, makes corny jokes. Class is not very exciting but he is well informed and passionate about what he teaches. Tests are ridiculously hard so STUDY!Labs are easy,show up and you get full credit. You never turn anything in for Lab.

He is an amazing teacher. He has sooo much knowledge on the subject and is definitely qualified. He didn't just read a book and a write a paper, he actually lived the experiences he talks about! I had no interest in Geology when entering the class, and I was very cagey about having class from 8-12 4 days a week, but time flew by!

This is a TOUGH class. But he's willing to answer questions and he likes to tell corny jokes, but hey what professor doesn't? He knows what he's talking about, so make sure you take good notes.
