Comment:
Mr. Reed is quite the tough professor. He can be very unclear at times, and the lectures often times stray FAR away from topic. It is unfortunate, but in order to receive good grades in this class, you need to write your papers to align with his viewsopinionsbeliefs. Otherwise he will rip your grades to shreds. Very hard earned A.

His teaching of this "Criminal Justice Ethics Class" is unethiccal, and contains little on Criminal Justice. He spends lessons advancing extreme leftist politics, qualifying no other beliefs. If you state your opinion in class, it will drastically reduce your grade. He tries to teach that liberal politics are ethical, and anything else is immoral.

He was awful, if you did not think exactly how he did and write it in your papers then you did not receive a good grade at all.

I made an A but I was one of the lucky ones. He actually makes lots of good points but its all wrapped up in his paranoid delusions of the government trying to get him, and his over-the-top liberal mindset. Conservative Republicans need to hear a lot of the stuff he has to say, but they are more or less screwed if they take one of his classes.

Good guy but he gives the same lectures everyday in every class. He's open to how you feel in class but on paper you have got to put what he wants to hear, he's very liberal, and a little closed minded! Needs to RETIRE!

He goes on crazy rants about what he perceives to be injustice in the world and none of it has anything to do with the class. I took him twice (Ethics and White Collar)not because he's a good teacher but because he's easy. No matter which class you take with him it's all the same ranting so once you've taken one you may as well take the others.

Just write down what he wants to hear and you'll easily pass. Pretend to hate all Republicans, Bush and the Military and you'll get an A. His notes in class are hard to follow but there isn't much work other than the Test.

Wow what can I say? I do beleive this was the worst investment of my college life. 300 dollars for 3 hours of course credit with this nut. Should have spent it in a bar probably would have learned more and as Tom says gained literacy and knowledge. Dont get me wrong his classes are funny. Its just sad that he thinks we are laughing with him.

This class was a total waste of my time. It had nothing to do with what was supposed to be taught and the man has no clue how to convey ideas or thoughts. He scribbles incomprehensible thoughts and ideas on the board, explains ideas incompletely, and tests over ideas that weren't covered fully. It is possible to get a good grade, but not worth it.

This is a very good professor, sometimes he does get a little crazy with what he writes on the board, but if you take notes the tests wont be difficult. He is a really nice person and quite intelligent, his stories are great. He is a bit difficult, but he is worth taking!

Complete waste of time. I honestly believe that he has gone off the deep end mentally. He would write things on the board and then forget why/what he wrote. The college really needs to let him go.

Had him for White Collar Crime and it was very eye opening. For the person who mentioned his "radical" views, wake the hell up. If you had taken white collar crime you would realize that many more crazy things are done in the pursuit of profit. This department has conservative students so it is no wonder a great, caring prof would get bad reviews.

This class could be taught a lot better. He presses his political views on the class. However do not say your opinion unless you agree or your grade will suffer. I would avoid this class if at all possible.

I like Dr. Reed as a person but he honestly does emphasize the same things over and over to the point that it's ridiculous (B=f(PE) anyone?). Class is cake though, 3 short papers and the tests are part take-home/part in class. He isn't Anti-Police, ect. he just has the nerve to question the power structure and has the facts to back up his ideas.

I like him as a person, but he has some majorly radical ideas. If you don't pretend to agree, it affects your grade. Example: he believes milk companies are responsible for people being allergic to milk. He believes it is a quality control issue. It's irrational because why would a company want you to not be able to consume its products?

Nice guy I guess?? Very opinionated and is always right; he says he likes when you ask questions then just makes you feel dumb. He likes to talk about the SAME material every class but after a while you'll get his point. Learn his formula for world preservation and use his terms and you'll do good. Not bad if you can handle the boring part.=)

This guy never has clear focus on his assignments, students never know what he is really looking for. He is also completely bias in his teachings and gradings. Plain a simple your opinion or perception of things are wrong unless you see things exactly like he does.
