I LOVE HIM. He may be hard for some people, but if you really just listen, ask him questions, and study before tests, you'll be FINE. He's so open to answering questions, such a kind old guy. He made learning physics easy for me. Just be on top of your work, do hw little by little everyday- you'll be fine.

One of the best at UMBC. Its pretty easy to see that he loves teaching and he loves seeing his students succeed. However, he never said it was going to be easy. His exams are intense, and the homeworks are hard. Anywhoo, he really wants you to do well, and he is willing to help you out if you need some more help.

A bright teacher. You get waht you earn, very leinient on the homework grades. The only problem is the tests focus on unimportant things half the time so its hard to know what to study.

Pretty good. The book unfortunately had many unclear points and discrepancies, which sometimes weren't cleared up. There were a few surprises on the tests, but nothing too major. Most of the assigned homework is past exam problems, so one has a good idea of what to expect on exams. Gives print outs whenever referring to long derivations. Fun class.

Great teacher, very friendly and his lectures are very clear. His tests are fair, too: if you understand the material then it's not hard to get an A. Also VERY helpful if you go to his office hours, he's always willing to help you out!

I took 111 with Dr. Reno over the summer, and though it was intense, I learned a lot. The curve is designed to help everybody do well--he really wants the students to succede. Reno's a kind man, don't be afraid to approach him.

Not very clear, not always nice. Seems grumpy most of the time. I had difficulty understanding the material. Take MacMillan instead, if you can. He is great.

Yet another incomprehensible intro physics lecturer. He's nice and fair but it takes a hell a lot of studying to hack it. This class will eat up your time, dont attempt it with other important hard courses.

Concentrates a lot on theory and less on explaining how to do problems. Very much learn on your own class. Difficult if no previous physics. There is a big curve so even if your really failing youll get a C, a B if your lucky
